I can't imagine living anywhere else. Texas is my home. For many Texans, living here is a part of their being.
There are other good States. We traveled to Europe recently. When asked where we were from, we would say either Texas or Dallas, TX. We actually live north of downtown Dallas, but it makes things simpler. EVERYONE knows where Texas is. Everyone has an image of Texas in their mind. Most of the time it is from the TV series Dallas. We live just a few miles from South Fork. We pass by it on a regular basis. For many of us old Texans, we feel a responsibility to be good, polite, and respectful people because that is what Texans do. |

I haven't had ice cream or a shake from there in several years. Sometimes I get a bag of plain Jr burgers and slap a lot of veggies on them. No condiments. No fries or fountain drinks ever. The milk and eggs at Braum's are Tier One. |

Crime, well compared to Phoenix its probably about equal. Id move to North East Texas in a heartbeat. |

I’ve got a friend who was born, raised and lived in Oak Cliff (bad part of Dallas) for most of his life. About 10 years ago, he got divorced, moved to Denver and hasn’t been happier. He had been talking about wanting to live in Colorado for the 20 years prior that I’ve known him. He followed his lifelong dream and made it a reality. |
