I have the "metal box" director's edition.
Wicked pissa'. Watch the extended version, so much better. (edited to add, in each fight they ARE doing damage to the the metal dude) Shit, now i want to go watch it (again) |

One of the best of all time, and I agree completely about seeing the Director's Cut.. it's a much more complete movie.

Sadly, I think it would have to be James Cameron doing the sequel to make it proper, and even then I don't really know of any other actor that can capture what Arnold did for that specific role. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/9vi7pe0sSYo/hqdefault.jpg View Quote https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/new-terminator-movie-first-look-linda-hamtilon_us_5b61cdebe4b0fd5c73d564fb |

They really screwed up the movie through omitting a couple scenes.
Have you ever wondered why there are several shots of John trying to teach the Terminator things? And then at the end he states that he knows now why he cries? Outside of that, it's pretty much the perfect action movie. |

loved the opening bar scene. He walked in with no fear, no apprehension,no thought of failure as befits a killing machine terminator. The guys who were laughing, werent laughing at the end of that scene, a new apex predator had arrived on earth....

People shot in the knee can still shoot little John in the back. Plus getting shot to shit because you can’t kill means you can’t hide in plane sight because your fucking shot to shit. But whatever |

It occupies a weird position for an awesome movie.
New enough to have good effects, cinematography, audio and overall quality. But old enough to not be relatable to generations of younger viewers as they've never known a world without ubiquitous connectivity. Note that it had a great official pinball machine too. |

Everything after T1 is prostitution of the storyline for money.
T1 was very clear that the timeline was closed and there was no changing it. T800 looking for pins in the legs of other Sarahs to provide positive ID, not knowing the pin was the result of blowing up the T800 at the end Reese being sent back by John knowing that he was sending his father back to meet his mother, and to die, thus giving him the photo The guys finding the T800 microchip at the end using it to create Cyberdyne. etc. |

I'll argue that both T3 and Alien 3, while falling far short of their predecessors, are better movies than they're given credit for.

A lot is filled in that's missing from the original cut that in my opinion needed to be there. It deserves it's bad rep, still mops the floor with that abortion of a movie that was Resurrection. |

I thought two was better than one ever since I was a kid. Everything was bigger, more polished, Arnold got to be a good guy.
But over the past 5 years or so I've moved into the camp where T1 is the best. I still love T2, THAT's how you do a sequel (just like Aliens---James Cameron knows how to make a sequel apparently) and it definitely ushered in a new age of summer blockbusters. My daughter is 5 and loves pretty much all of the Arnold Schwarzenegger movies I grew up with. Ironically, T1 is also her favorite. She cries at the end of T2 so I think that's why she doesn't like it as much. |

The deleted ending of T2 shits all over this, which I'm assuming is why it was deleted. I don't know if you've seen it---it is in the far future and Sarah is at the park from her dreams and John is an adult and Judgement day happens. However, that scene was removed. T2 ends with Sarah and John assuming they've prevented Judgement Day but for all we know it will still happen. If Cameron himself had made T3 I am willing to bet it would have been revealed that they did nothing to delay Judgement Day during the events of T2. |

My favorite movie of alltime.
Parents took me to see it in theatres when I was 5 |

T1 and T2 are the only Terminator movies that should have been made. The rest tarnish the name.

Don’t kid yourself, T1 is the superior movie. I watch it all the time.
