News report says the two got into a confrontation prior to the shooting. Firearms owner must not be the initial aggressor. If you started an argument with someone, and it turned ugly before the shooting, you lose.

The grandfather was bringing his grandson home and met the fleeing teenagers in the backyard of the nine year old grandson's parents. One of them pulled a knife on him. Fearing harm to his grandson or himself, he shot the little thug. He was responding to the knife. He did nothing wrong. |
