We were at the marina buttoning the boat up last week when a guy who keeps two jetskis in the slip down from us motored in with his fishing rig on the back of one. I laughed and asked if he was trolling at 40 mph...
He had a cooler on the back with two good sized bass and a couple of lake trout. I stopped laughing. Didn't know this was even a thing. Depreciation is a factor...I'd go in low, but not insultingly low. I'd offer $12K and figure on splitting the difference if you really want it, bearing in mind $15K will buy a pretty sweet used fishing boat. |

Didn't we have a member here who was doing that on a jet ski for awhile now?
Think his name was Slug-O or something like that. |

View Quote IMHO, You need two of them, a trailer with two Bunks and something that will pull it.. Doesn't take much to pull them, but a good hitch, preferably frame mount. Also, 4Wd is a plus, many of boat/launching ramps are pretty slick. I say you need two, because riding by yourself or taking turns gets really old really fast, so you need a second one for a friend that does not have one. Its kinda like playing Paintball by or most other sports by yourself... You can do it, but it gets old fast. On of my best friends and I had Wave Runners, well I had one and he had two. He always let our 3rd friend use his 2nd one. 1st year, we rode the shit out of them. 2nd year we went out maybe 6 times. 3rd year we went out maybe twice 4-6th+ years they sat in the back yards and deteriorated. I finally sold my Wave runner(Yamaha 1200 GPR, I think) , double bunk trailer, cover, Life Jacket/vests, and a bunch of other accessories for like 600.00 Might a been able to get more out of it, but I was moving and wanted it gone. I sold it to a close friend who did a bunch of work too it and in the 3 or 4 years hes owned it, I bet he has not took it out 6 times total. |

Very cool. Needs sun cover and the seat needs to be redesigned to allow for better reclining.
Which one of you left the first comment in comment section? opie999 11 hours ago can you catch imitation crab meat fishes with this? |

For 4 years my grandfather and I flipped boats and skis for extra cash
Every single Seadoo we ever owned had electrical or mechanical issues I would suggest a 4 stroke Yamaha ski,or a 4 stroke Yamaha Boat such as the AR or SX 230 series Seadoo is like the Taurus of guns |

It's worth a lot more than that..If you dont buy it you will regret it for the rest of your life. I mean seriously, you would be a fool NOT to buy it. It just makes. so much. sense !!

Just thinking about function - when you stand to fish you would have to be on the back, right? how easy is that going to be stepping over the cooler all the time? Reclining to fish isn't going to work with the cooler on there either.

I've been really kicking around a pair of GTR-230s. I have a pontoon, and a runabout; I think a pair of jetskis would round out the flotilla nicely.

I wouldn't do it if its just for feshwater use, but depending where you are, you could do some damage to saltwater fish on that.
Look up "Jetski Brian". |

Look, you're a young man (I assume). You can blow that money right now and have, what--a few years of fun, fishing and screwing bikini models before you decide you want something bigger? And then you buy the upgrade and have a few more years of the same tons of fun and sex in the sun? And so on.
ORRRRR.... You could put that same $15k in a respectable financial instrument returning a solid 2.5% APR, and in just 50 years--a mere blink of a Half-Century--the magic of compound interest could turn it into over $50,000! (Minus any concurrent inflation, of course.) You do you, but I think the correct choice is quite clear! |

I would get tired of standing to fish most of the time. It needs a flip up anglers chair of some type. I guess for the money I would rather have a real boat to fish off of.

Take 15k and set it next to your house, then leave it there for a few years and sell it for 8k.

No. I will not talk you out of it. What I will say is you need a 2021 Bronco to tow it. Do it!

Looks fun to me. And for all those saying boats are a money pit, I’ve had quite a few boats over the last 30 years and haven’t seen much expense or depreciation. Boating has been very good to me.

After years of PWC ownership, I realized that renting was cheaper than owning.
One thing I missed was watching the boat ramp show. |

Are you fat enough to operate one?
I believe the owners manual states you must be at least 300#. |
