This for sure.  Although I do love my 7.62 krink style AK and HK91K with 12 or so inch barrel.  It would be a crime to suppress those 2 flashbangs.

The rifle in OP is my second favorite AR.  (Although the gap has closed with it being suppressed)

My absolute favorite is my M4A1 build.   I “splurged” on picking up a Colt Socom Profile barrel and an aimpoint pro.  This was the hotness in the AR world  when I bought my very first AR. So I naturally tend to gravitate to these builds

Once you start shooting with suppressors it’s hard to go back

Same with MG. Once you have access to full auto, semi-auto becomes super blah on the thrill scale

Yes! I rarely shoot anything without a can. I also put my cans in other people's guns to entice them into buying cans themselves. It seems to work!

Suppressors are my favorite thing. Just wait until you start shooting suppressed rimfire! Then combine that with nods! Omg!
For a long time my only rifle cans were sandmen, but I recently got a much quieter 5.56 can and have been running through so much ammo.

Incorrect.  High quality units are available well under $1000 and F4 turnarounds time are awesome, less than 24hrs in some caes.

The juice has never been sweeter and the squeeze has never been so effortless.

Being able to shoot my .45’s and also BLK subs without earpro is definitely worth the squeeze

A can also makes the .50 way more pleasant to shoot

With form 4 times being measured in hours instead of months it’s getting harder and harder to justify not having a suppressor for ever gun.

I agree about shooting rifle suppressed.  In most cases it’s not hearing safe, but what a difference in report compared to unsuppressed.  All the things suppressed in my opinion.

I respectfully disagree about machine guns.  I’ve been very fortunate as a civilian to have shot a shitload of machine guns the past 20+ years.  They’re certainly fun, particularly if it’s your first few times, but hitting your target is about numbers instead of skill.  Put enough rounds down range and you’ll eventually hit your target.

It’s satisfying to hold a trigger and shoot many rounds.  I don’t argue that.  But the excitement of pulling a full-auto trigger wanes after you’ve done it a handful of times.

That said, everyone should shoot full auto at least once.  That first time is a huge thrill.

Not true with FA. At least for me. Years ago, i got to shoot a FA M-14. I grinned and handed it back to the owner. Same with a FA Thompson. In both instances, it was fun and interesting to try once, but both failed to kindle a desire to ever own one.

I would like to try a can.

Suppression ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.22 is amazing, fun and so so quiet, but I feel where suppression really shines is on an SBR 5.56 AR. Takes a weapon that will cause instant and permanent hearing damage especially indoor to something that you can shoot with out hearing protection safely, enough times to defend yourself or family if needed. I actually don't mind shooting my 11.5" 5.56 outside without hearing protection, though I try not to make a habit of it due to my tinnitus.

It is especially useful on those rifles for new shooters or female shooters for whom the blast, concussion and noise level is beyond tolerance to something they do enjoy shooting, as long as it's gassed properly.

Unless you like milsurps or specific weapons.

I think I have around 60 guns that can be suppressed.  I’m at about 20 suppressors, I have a long way to go.

Honestly starting with suppressed 22 kind of ruins it.  From there everything gets more disappointing.

My 22 is so quiet I have to be mindful that it’s still a real firearm and the business end is still slinging lead.  Something about it being so quiet makes it seem ‘less serious’, if you know what I mean.

The only time I shoot unsuppressed are:
1. Handguns, which even then sometimes I do that also.
2. When shooting matches, the shot timer doesn't always pick up the shots.

I have enough reeeee when trying to sit in a quiet area. I don't need more. The damn things need to be cash and carry like every other accessory.

My rifle cans have been short and “practical”, not quiet.  Make it much more pleasant to shoot and don’t get in the way.  Decided I wanted a “quiet” can, Nomad L approved last week.  Wow on 300 blackout subs.  Amazing.  As good as 9mm subs through my pistol can. Quieter than my suppressed 45 imo.

Owning 2 cans, I somewhat agree with Toll_toes. Electronic ear muffs are cheap, don't require a year long wait, and don't heat up to 900F.
