Got some sunroom windows that were rattle-canned with Krylon a few years ago - Need to remove it.

Tips?

Recommendations?

Already been there, done that.

Doesn't work.

Have also tried the razor blades with Windex, 91% isopropyl alcohol, and acetone.

Nothing fazes it.

I'd try some citristrip. Maybe tape off your painted areas first and apply it and follow directions.

I had too much paint on windows in my deer blind and I sprayed window with Windex and then used razors.  It takes some time, but the paint did come off.

I know it sounds weird but paint stripper work pretty well. Just make sure it's really glass and not plastic.

Sometimes mineral spirits, brake cleaner and a razor blade in a straight handle.

If it's plastic, brake fluid works pretty good.

Citrastrip then tape a garbage bag over it for a couple hours. Should scrape right off.

Any residual a little acetone or mineral spirits on a rag will take it off.

Unless the glass is less than smooth single edge razor blades work every time.

How did you use the blades?
It is not a scraping thing but slicing the paint film off.
Blade is almost parallel to  the surface of the glass.

Looks like the CitriStrip is gonna do it!

There were two coats of Krylon, and the stripper has softened the outer coat enough to remove it with a razor blade.

I'm applying the stripper to the inner coat right now.

I'm using single-edge blades, held with Vice-Grips.

Probably not flat enough to the glass.
Get a single edge razor blade holder.

The problem with using chemicals is that almost invariably
some gets on the muntins and messes up the paint on them.

single edge razor blade holder

I have a couple.
Many times they end up at the bottom of the tool box.
Just buy another.

I now keep them in the drawer with the calipers and other measuring stuff.

You can buy graffiti remover too. At the end of the day though, you could use WD-40 or one of many other chemicals but it really needs to soak, which is the hard part. Figure out a way to keep it wet and let the chemicals to their job.

Keeping the chemicals off the muntins is an exercise for the reader.

Awful lot of work.
Also likely to interfere when you go to paint it again.
