We viewers are not in danger so stop wasting our time with that bs! If you're worried about comments, I ask "why are you even reading the comments from those punks anyway?"
|
|
[#3]
If you don't, the comments will be flooded with people telling you what an unsafe Bubba you are.

I agree, or at least stop making a huge production out of it when you do.
|
|
[#8]
Do a press check and call it quits. Those who leave comments about you being unsafe are ignorant idiots, the ones who know weapons will applaud that you're not wasting time.

Reinforcing viewers (many of whom are new to guns and inexperienced) to practice gun safety is never a bad thing. If you don’t like it fast forward through, or watch a different channel...
ETA: Many of these people probably see a Yaeger video with people shooting at targets with a cameraman downrange afterward. |

[#10]
They're scared of the usual weirdos in the comments section picking them apart.
What they don't realize is the assholes are going to find something to criticize no matter what you do. |

My biggest peeve is long intros. I can see why they do intros...it basically builds the brand with new viewers. MAC uses a short, but effective intro, but some you have to endure a solid minute of crappy 80s guitar solo.

Then they talk all quiet and you can barely hear them. I like the guys that say fuck off safety nazis. |

Rather someone would be in the habit of safety checking than not...

Agreed, everything should be safety check before the video however it is a good ha it to build and teachers new shooters I suppose.

If you want Biden and crew to get off your nuts, the first thing you have to do is stop being a fucking idiot around guns.
America doesn't have a gun problem, we have a gun culture problem, and if you're too goddamned impatient to watch a safety check (and too dumb to realize that this is probably the most safety training anyone under 35 is ever going to get), then you're part of the problem. |
|
[#22]
Agree.
It's complete gheyness. You don't have to constantly show us the gun is unloaded so we know you are safe. If you fuck up and blow off an appendage by accident that will just make the video more entertaining. |
|
[#23]
4 fucking rules, so easy a 6 year can know them. If it leaves my hand, I’m checking clear. Every fucking time. I don’t care if I set it down for 30 seconds in front of me.

He will then tell us that all efforts toward gun control are abandoned. Well done, chaps. |

I hate it when they feel that they have to have 55 seconds of them shooting this in 500 positions and angles before the video even starts. I absolutely hate it when folks do the shitty 2 views things. They are talking directly to you, then the camera is off to the side and they are like they are talking to someone next to and behind you.
Also anyone that starts with "Whats up youtube" gets turned off immediately |

I mean, who wants to be the dipshit that shot themselves on YouTube? And it's been done before, so it's not like it's impossible.

if i pick up a gun i safety check it. doesn't matter if i am making a video. doesn't matter if i just put it down.

What does it take — 5 seconds? You are throwing a hissy fit over 5 seconds of safety reinforcement?
I’m orders of magnitude more annoyed at youtubers doing a selfie of their flapping piehole for 5 minutes before getting to the part where they actually show the content that I tuned in for in the first place. Shut your yap and show me the content!! |

I lost respect for him at that moment but ran for a first aid kit anyways. Next time I was at the range they showed me the tape of him doing it. Fucking stupid. |

This DEA agent must have been asleep during gun safety training in the academy. He could have benefitted from safety check snippets. Oh well...he is now forever part of YouTube himself.

Safety theater 101...applies mostly to numbskulls who pretend to be "better" by whining if they don't see someone safety check.
