Honor Harrington, serialized. Books would have to be combined, skipped (the whole Harrington being captured & sent to Cerberus story arc), or just alluded to or seen in flashbacks (Basilisk Station, etc.)

It would be great if they would come out with a military sci-fi show like Space Above and Beyond or even Larry Correia’s Monster Hunter book series.

Both would have to be on HBO/Cinemax/Netflix etc to be worth a shit.

Oh hell ya! The Honor Harrington series would make a great movie. I talked to the author last year and he said he was talking to someone about the movie rights.

The main actor (Shepherd) from Atlantis has tried several times to get a new show started, even going as far as to get talent and european production all lined up but MGM is a total clusterfuck.   Listening to him talk about it just pisses me off.  He's a real good guy with a passion for the franchise and they just keep dicking him around.

He tries every year or so since SG:A ended to get a new show made and the same people are never there at MGM and after MGM shut down and sold off all their rights he can't even find someone who knows who owns the rights.

When he does find someone to talk to they express interest, then get fired or quit and he has to start back in on the ground floor trying to find the jerk in charge who could greenlight something.   Pretty sure he's given up.

Sad.
