Save Stanton Phase 1, moving all that cargo solo was a bitchhhhhhhhhhh with the multi-tool. I also had to do it in the dark of an asteroid field. They really need to add ship lights, or I need to learn how to use the flares. ![]() I had to play Jenga to fit them all into my Connie, but I made it all work in one run, even though I almost screamed at the game when the cargo elevator told me I only had 11 of the 14 correct crates (and the other 3 I'd brought were somehow unrelated) before I pushed the button. Thankfully it completed the quest and I didn't have to go back for the gigantic crates I'd left behind. Kharn |

Our org loaded up a C2 with beryllium, helium, and hydrogen, and flew it to Pyro gateway. Anyone on phase 4 came to the C2 hangar, we slogged cargo and lined it up by the freight elevator. The mission holder put it on the freight elevator and sent it down..DONE! NEXT! |

I dipped into the 4.0 preview last night, and Jesus Christ, what a shitshow! Area 18 isn't even available as a starting zone. Loreville's frame rate makes New Babbage in the middle of IAE look like a Michael Bey movie, and after nearly 2 hours, I still hadn't managed to finish the tutorial. 1st try, I made it to the hangar elevators in one go, and I had hope. Nope. Elevators non functional. Exit to menu, switch servers. 2nd try, couldn't get out of the hab. At least, whoever had been there before me had left their helmet behind, so not a total loss. 3rd try, Made it out of the hab, but the elevator was on vacation. I stood there and watched multiple players launch themselves through the door and plummet into oblivion before once again exiting to menu. 4th try, I made it all the way to my hangar, but the tutorial had bugged, and refused to recognize I had retrieved my ship. That one, at least, is a known bug that I kind of expected. At that point, I declared a fuggit and logged out. Think I'll take a break for awhile. |

I've been playing 4.0 last night and this morning. Servers have been butter smooth for me. All I've been doing is salvage though flying out of New Babbage. Trying to make some money for ship buys in game. ETA: I jinxed it. Just had it go to a black screen but no server error or CTD. Waited 5 min to see if it would recover, then alt+f4'd it. Now it's showing 200+ in the que to get back in. |

I haven't logged back in yet today, but it occurred to me as I was walking the dog that I'd forgotten to go through the settings for the 4.0 version of the game. I'm probably trying to run it on very high graphics, full volumetric clouds, the works. I'll try to remember to reset them before I go back in. I'll probably have a better time. |

I'm in a Connie Andromeda. ![]() If I can get a small ship in my sights while I'm running three M7As (one of the four points is missing due to a bug, it can't be recovered), it dies in 3-5 volleys. But the rubber banding is ridiculous. Those 2-3 ships per encounter can't be hit until they stop flying due to overheating or whatever and let me kill them. No missile will hit them, no ability to get gun pips on them. I never die due to enemy action, they can barely break through my shields in phase 1, only due to colliding with an asteroid while fighting in the dark. Kharn |

Some of the missions had as many as 30 in a swarm. One pilot and two or three active turrets are enough to wipe them out even with them jumping all over. |

Some of the missions had as many as 30 in a swarm. One pilot and two or three active turrets are enough to wipe them out even with them jumping all over. I managed to complete all of it solo. Key to Phase 1 was to stay near the hauler and attack anyone that shot at it instead of chasing the current target, and wait for the rubberbanding enemies to decide it was their turn to die. Or just doing the retrieve hauler missions with an Andromeda, when it said it needed 14 boxes from a Caterpillar I thought I'd have to go back to get the 32 SCU ones but it gave me mission complete after 9 of them went down the elevator. ![]() For Phase 3, if you fly close to the Idris and it changes to "defeat the slicers x/x," you get credit if anyone later kills it even if you're not there so it's easy to cheese in a small ship for those that need 1.5mil UEC. I went with the Freedom Fighters for Phase 4, you have to do six missions for either the Citizens or the Freedom Fighters, a mix doesn't count. It's also not complete until you get a big splash saying you're done with Phase 4 and have received the guns. I'm moving on to 4.0 to make some money and stockpile illicitly acquired salvaged parts. ![]() Kharn |

| For 4, just do the berylium helium hydrogen cargo at the Stanton-Pyro station. Grab three 1 SCU boxes of each type for all 6 missions, and just load your cargo elevator when the next mission pops up. with the amount called for and send it doown/ |

So you can't store 40 SCU of A, then go get 45 SCU of B, then 45 SCU of C and bang out all the contracts from your storage. Kharn |

We'd stage 2, 2, and 2 for the next contract. When it popped and org member took it, we'd toss the remnants needed with those as contract holder moved the 6 to the elevator. The balance was put on, elevator sent down. Rinse. Lather. Repeat. |

Had a reasonably profitable night. Within reason. Made 2 runs of 7 contracts each for around 3/4 million aUEC. Everything worked, all the missions completed... that is, those I lived to deliver. About halfway through the second delivery, my Hull A started losing bits and pieces of itself and decided that it just wasn't gonna to fly coupled no mo'. Leave us say that my landing was fiery and less than glorious. ALso, neither Orison nor Port Seriphim are remotely safe places to leave your ship. On the pad or stored, either one, if you leave the hangar, the game will lose your hangar somewhere, and you won't be able to return until you reclaim your ship via insurance. Still, a decently enjoyable night. |

And on my last contract, on the way up to Seraphim, I died for no particular reason. Ship didn't explode or anything. I just got a message that I was incapacitated and had 30 seconds to do something. In a closed ship, helmet on. No idea what happened Oh, and the tutorials are still broken. First mission of the patch was 7 small cargo from Seraphim to Orison in a rented Hull A. Loaded fine, got out of the space station fine. Heading for Orison at mach Jesus, 10km up heading straight down, and the server disconnected. I mean HARD! by the time I got back in it was nearly ten minutes later. Let's just say, I'm glad Crusader is a gas giant. When the server desynched, I was 10km above the city. When I finally logged back in, I was 15km below it. But I lived to fight another hour or so. 4.0.1 wasn't ready. They pushed it through so they could sell the Misfortune. I'd rather have waited. On the plus side: When I started over for the new patch, I still had all the money I made in 4.0, and most of the gear I'd acquired. I lost all my ammo, all my meds, and all my food. Maybe some other stuff, but I can't be sure. Death markers are back and working. I sadly know that now. Of the 16 contracts I finished last night, all but 1 completed. That one somehow didn't count one of the 1scu crates. The ships no longer vanish if you leave the hangar like they did in 4.0. Right now, I'm calling it a night (for sufficient values of) After the last crash, I've been stuck on the loading screen for 20 minutes with my GPU running between 95-100% for some reason. I'm fairly certain that static loading screen isn't using 8 gigs. |

As of late, I've been having great luck with solid servers. The usual shit is there... just last night my Fortune glitched through the hangar of my Polaris, got stuck underneath it, then yeeted itself free, knocking me on my ass and almost killing me. But other than that, it has been pretty smooth sailing. |
