That PC should be able to handle the videos just fine. Here are a couple things to try: -Identify the video card system and update the drivers (software that runs them). -Reboot if you haven't in a while. -Try the same videos, with a different browser. (Firefox can be a little bloat now-days.) -Update Firefox. It probably is already updated but sometimes that setting gets turned off. -If there is "use hardware acceleration" settings in Firefox (I don't use it, dig around in settings) try turning that off. Blanking is probably video card / driver related but could be other things. Check to verify the PC is getting decent airflow and if you can, open the case and make sure fans are running. (Do not attempt to open a laptop.) |

Firefox is updated, but I couldn't find hardware acceleration yet. I'll keep looking for that, and I also need to play Solitaire again to see if I can pick up some pattern of when/why it freezes. |

Could be a lot of things. To start why is your PC sitting upside down? Those fans are going to struggle to get fresh air like that. That's also a not great airflow setup. How long has this PC been running with that stock cooler? Have you ever re-pasted it? HWInfo (the app) is great for checking system temps. Those stock coolers work 'ok' with lower TDP chips but they don't put that great of paste on them, and the paste doesn't last forever. If it's been running for years it's a good time to buy good fresh paste and redo it + make sure the fan is clean. Or install a different air cooler. Good dual stack air coolers are like $30. You tried Edge and videos worked fine. Did you check memory use? Were these live streams with chat going? YouTube will give browsers the err out of memory page if you let a live stream with chat run too far. For whatever reason objects in the chat stay in memory and will max out the limit for memory used. IIRC I think it's around 6GB then the tab errors out. The more active the chat the faster this happens. Try downloading the latest driver from Nvidia (not through the app) and when you get to the install screen select 'clean installation' https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/results/265874/ Do you have Samsung Magician installed? You can use that to check on the drive health. Those are older SATA SSD's and one might be on it's way out if that's where your OS is installed. |
| The YT videos I was watching were primarily shorts, just using the arrow key to move on to the next one. I will check into the other things mentioned, but I'm not sure if the case can be reconfigured with the fans at the top. I'll look up the instruction sheet and videos. |

The three RGB fans are on the 'top' of the case but you have the whole case upside down. You would have to put the case right side up and then flip the fans so they blow up and out. Heat rises so you want to use that to your advantage and use the fans to help warm air exit the case. |

The GPU driver shouldn't have anything to do with RGB lighting. Do you have some type of RGB control software? Or keyboard software? Did you check the drive health? |

I've done several restarts through this, and just did a shutdown instead. When I turned it back on, the RGB case lights came back on. I don't know how/why, but that's working. Now to get my keyboard figured out. Edit - Did some searching, and it requires Roccat SWARM software. I vaguely remember that from before, but the software wasn't on my computer anymore. Maybe I missed it when I upgraded to Win11. I went and downloaded it, and I can see my keys again. Back to looking through what you guys have said, to see if I can stop it from freezing up. |

YT isn't freezing with Edge, so whoever said it might be a Firefox problem was probably right. I'll see what I can find in those settings. When I play more Solitaire, I'll see if the NVIDIA driver update keeps that from freezing. I like the progress, and I appreciate the help. |
| The default settings for reset don't actually really reset the PC state. You can disable fast boot in the BIOS but you also have to turn off fast startup in the control center power settings. If that box is checked (it is by default) Windows puts the kernel in a hibernation like state during reset and it will carryover problems from one session to the next. Unchecking fast startup will reset the kernel during a reset if that makes sense. Fast boot (in the bios) skips over some system checks that it would do during a normal (non-fast) boot cycle. |

I just watched a ton of YT videos, and nothing froze, without making any changes on Firefox. Now it's just Solitaire that freezes, and I noticed that the RGB in my RAM isn't lighting up. I still have more to figure out. ![]() Edit - I got the RAM RGB working, with Armoury Crate, but the case lights quit again. Edit - I uninstalled that Lian Li software, restarted, and my case lights came back. All lights are working again, so if Solitaire doesn't freeze anymore the problem may be solved. Edit - YT and Solitaire still freezing. At least I got the lights back on. |
| Look in your BIOS settings for Re-Size BAR, or Large BAR Support, and make sure it's Enabled. |

I'll try to find that. So far, nothing has changed regarding the freezing. The RGB lights are still randomly quitting. The case lights quit again, so I downloaded OpenRGB, and it only recognizes my keyboard. The RAM lights still work, for now, but it wouldn't surprise me if those quit too. |

Do you have any temperature sensors on the board? Does the Windows event viewer Log show any crashing going on? I agree with the folks mentioning your case is upside down. If you want it in that position, consider some sort of riser to let air flow. Two or more inches. |

Lian Li does show a lot of fan options for the case, so I'll definitely add more fans. I may need to get a mount kit or something, but I'll work on that. https://lian-li.com/product/o11-dynamic-evo/ ![]() |

The case 1" feet on the bottom, but I'd rather add fans than put the case up on something. I'll do it if I have to, but I'd prefer to leave it sitting as is. Warm air rises so the heat ideally should go up and out the back. When you have your GPU upside down the warm air goes down but wants to rise back up. It's not being exhausted in an efficient manner. That also means the fans on the bottom are blowing air up against the direction the GPU fans are blowing. You shouldn't have dueling fans blowing air at each other. You can disable Game Bar. It's a stupid thing that comes with Windows. Go to Windows Settings and search for Game Bar. Turn the toggles off. You may not know but do you have other apps that have game overlays? The Nvidia app is a common one that has a game overlay feature as are game launcher apps (Steam, EA, Xbox, Epic). The 2nd common source of game overlays are GPU/system tuning apps like MSI Afterburner, EVGA Precision X1, AMD Adrenalin, etc. Some chat apps can have them like Discord and TeamSpeak. You can create a situation where multiple overlays are fighting each other and instigate crashes. I personally turn off all game overlays. If there is a specific reason you need to use one you can turn it on temporarily but its best to keep them off, and if you need to use one you'll know. Also check in Settings for Startup Apps. See what is toggled on to auto start with your PC. Uncheck Attached File Turn off things you don't need to run when you start your PC. Attached File |

A lot of the accessory software is pretty lousy. Stuff for RGB lighting, keyboards, motherboard “features” & so on. But…can’t hurt to check basics: chkdsk [driveletter]: /f (e.g., chkdsk c: /f) ^run from Cmd prompt as Administrator - will run after restart as your disk will be in use. DISM & SFC: easiest to link Microsoft support page on running these: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/using-system-file-checker-in-windows-365e0031-36b1-6031-f804-8fd86e0ef4ca ETA: You can also right-click on the Taskbar & select Task Manager & click on the Startup Items to view all the stuff that’s loaded on boot. Sometimes surprising. ETA2: can also do a complete removal of GPU drivers & install new via Display Driver Uninstaller: https://www.guru3d.com/download/display-driver-uninstaller-download/ |

No, fans blow air towards the bracket side. As I said before your entire case is flipped upside down. That last picture is from what should be the bottom. Attached File |

That would be about in the middle, carrying everything out the back, instead of (or in addition to) going out the mesh top. |
