I tried both the small batch and single barrel Bourbon.

Pretty good but nothing special.

Started with a mixer.  Basil Hayden Dark Rye with crushed ice, a dash of pure water and Dublin style Dr. Pepper.

Next was Woodford reserve Bourbon straight.

After that, Aberlour 16.

After that some Four Roses single barrel

After THAT was some Basil Hayden Straight Kentucky Bourbon.....

Okay....I can chill for a bit.

A brace of Newcastle Browns, and now I'm on to a glass of Michter's Rye.

As an aside, I think the Newcastles brewed in the US taste better than the English stuff (not that that is at all bad).

I swear I didn't see your post.  I stopped in my Honeyhole after work and they had all the High West variations.

In my quest for the perfect rye, I bought a bottle of the bourye limited release.

Just poured a glass.  Not bad at all.  Its a sweeter rye.  Its got a bit of honey and/or caramel.

Try some of this Whistlepig 12yr Old World.  Its similar, but with less honey.  A bit deeper in flavor, probably due to the aging in wine casks.
