I mean massive. Starting FO at Piedmont is $90/hr. CAs get upwards of $213 an hour. OE Captains make double, so $426 an hour topped out.

To fly an EMB 145....... (Delta training pay sting in comparison, but Ill live )

Madness.

Envoy is also getting this:

If an Envoy captain who has indicated their desire to flow to American is not offered the opportunity to flow by the completion of their fifth year of employment as a pilot at Envoy, the pilot’s hourly rate of compensation shall be increased to Step 20 (i.e., top of scale) on the captain pay scale in Paragraph B.1 of this Extension Agreement

This will really soften the blow for captains who have taken longer than expected to flow.

My only area of concern was that the increased pay rate was "temporary" until August 2024.

I think its temporary because the regionals will be dead by then

I am super excited for all my friends still at Piedmont, but I have no regrets leaving....

I resigned from a wholly owned just a few days ago.  But, I picked up a wide body position (ACMI), so I feel I made the right choice!  Every captain I flew with at the regional advised me to get off the sinking ship before it was too late lol

Yea I left for Delta back in April, so I know the feeling of freedom. Its a decent time to be a pilot right now, but who knows what the future brings....

4 years at Piedmont was enough after the Army.

Wow.  That’s redonkulous, but appropriate, considering Inflation. Good for them.   It should help everyone in the industry.

Wild.

I wonder how mainline AA pilots will feel, since they’ve been after a new contract for awhile and the regional guys get this. That LCA pay is crazy, I’d be on that right now but I left about a year ago.

$40k a month to fly at a regional lol.

Wow, congrats to the wholly owned. I remember when I was making $22 an hour as a first year FO. Lol. Idon't know how I managed to make it work.

I wonder if the “ temporary” clause is just in place to account for a theoretical merger of the current WOd into one AA regional. That’s always been my prediction.

Are they still handing out the hiring and flow-through bonuses, in addition to this?

Same here, but,
As measured in Gasoline and Real Estate, we were compensated pretty close to what these guys will be earning.

However, they will be paying more in Taxes.

Yup. Upwards of $150k in bonuses if you stay and flow.

My first year I made $16.50 an hour in 2006. By my 3rd airline in 6 years I think I was at $28 or $29 an hour.

Don’t worry boy your about to get f@$ed royally when the economy comes crashing down.

Ask me how I know.

Not just pilots are making bank-

I just replace landing lights, scrape turds off of lav tank sensors, and tell pilots that there isn't a damn thing wrong with their autoland.

On track to make a quarter mil this year.

Just wait till those millennial regional faggots get a load of the higher taxes they voted for. Welcome to the $400,000+ a year tax bracket...

Uncle Joe now considers your "rich".

This got my attention earlier. Now if the regionals could solve the simulator backlog, that would be the whole package.

Oh, and the 1500 hour requirement for FOs go away...

Since the company refuses to come off their 7% raise over two years proposal for the mainline pilots, I suspect the "give a damn" out on the line will be pretty low over the summer.  A CKA at the WO's will now be making significantly more than I do as a narrow body CKA at mainline.  There is all kinds of wrong in that picture.

7% over 2 years?

Well, Isom did say "he cant spare one extra dollar"......and then would have paid me $427/hr If I had stayed at PDT.

Madness.

That is almost enough to make me consider making the jump.  But, when the economy craters I think a lot of these guys jumping ship will be looking for work.

Ya, the "last, best, final offer" was 4% year one, 3% year two, for a two year "targeted extension".  Glorious leader put out a video today, basically begging everyone to "row harder", and we "promise to negotiate this out".  No one really believes him at this point though.

If nothing else, this has generated some great memes...

The memes have been amazing. Good luck with negotiations. I know the deal was a fucking nuclear bomb dropped in all of the section 6 right now.

Alright AMR.....sorry AAG... peps. This has a sunset to it no? from what I read it only lasts to 2024 then can be "adjusted" as needed.

I'm not shocked tho. regionals cant keep employees. Going to be fun to see what LCC/ULCCs that aren't Southwest do.

If the 1500 were to go away, pay would drop dramatically as plenty of suckers would sign up for 22k to build time.

I’ve heard of many people with the time getting a CJO in their inbox less than 24 hours after submitting an app.

I wonder if 121 time from several years ago will get you a no interview CJO?

What does this mean for people who don't fly commercial? I am a pilot for Black Mesa, but I wonder about commercial sometimes. Lots of Army buddies went Piedmont and Envoy, and I know quite a few have left Piedmont because New Jersey sucks, or something like that. Is it a good time to go?
