  So, I contact their support page letting them know I would never visit any of their parks again because of this. This was their response.  My response back to them  This shit has to stop. So they're going to do drag shows, at a childrens theme park, every Fri and Sat for the entire month of June when kids are obviously out of school. They know this is the time of year when the most children will be going to their parks. Fuck them. |

It's also worth noting for people not familiar with Six Flags over Texas and Texas weather, but it gets really hot and humid here in the summer. It's not unusual for families to visit Six Flags later in the day when the sun is going down to avoid the blazing heat. When I was a kid, we would go later in the evening and leave after the sun went down.

Take your kids to a state park for a hike or wade, take them fishing, go on bike rides, show them how to cook a hamburger or make a sandwich, swing in the yard with friends. Go camping, even out if the trunk of a car. Plant a tiny garden. Give them experiences to remember.
Anything but the expensive transient fun of big corporate amusement parks packed with people you don't know and mostly don't want to be near. |

We stopped going years ago. It turned into a cultural and diverse shit hole.
It was a tradition for 15-20 of us to go to Holiday in the Park during Christmas time and drink about a gallon of hot chocolate. It’s been close to 10 years since we’ve went. My neighbor hosted his corporate party there last year and had a handful of left over season passes and handed us some to give to our friends. I don’t think we will even go now with our free annual passes. |
