Damn OP, I just threw out about 8 years worth of Sporting Classics magazines.

Caters to wealthy hunters and fisherman. Shills for almost every high end lodge on earth, and most of the manufacturers.

This months cover was a bit of a welcome departure....

The most epic was when I went with a buddy as a guest. The entire hunting community congregated in this shanti town that looked like a third world refugee town. Lean to’s and nearly cardboard.

I was eating some Cheerios one morning all bleary eyed and the surly old Korean War vet came in and yanked down his pants and sat on the toilet I didn’t know was there. Not three feet from the table and refrigerator was a toilet!

I wouldn’t recommend recreating that.

I work for a hunting ranch and I agree it will never be an epic hunting lodge. My dream is a log cabin with trappers hides lining the wall a few head mounts and fireplaces heating the entire place. It is all subjective.
