Just bought a Nikon Coolpix P1000 and need a tri pod, any recomendations?

Start at optics planet and that will put your prices on the high side. Do research and it should get cheaper from there.

Neewer is nice for the money. I have one and a ball head for another tripod, with a way heavier camera/lens than a Coolpix, and it’s been excellent.
Edit: B&H often runs deals; sign up for their emails and periodically they run some really crazy deals on equipment. |

I've had a LOT of tripods over the years. This one fit the bill for me nicely as it can hold any of my cameras up to I think 50ish pounds. It's light, and very sturdy.
