Ohh absolutely. I’m trying to decide if I want To go 12 gauge or 20. If I’m gonna keep it with the shockwave grip I’ll probably go 20. Id like the wife to be able to shoot it and I know She’ll hate the recoil of the 12

In another AR15.com Shockwave thread some guy posted a pic of his SBS'ed (and stocked) Shockwave with a suppressor on it. Gotta admit, it's got the wheels in my head turning.

Why not jut get a KSG, if you are going to make that Shockwave even longer with the addition of a brace?

Under current law probably not. I own one and live in Ohio. Have shot it without incident from law enforcement in the presence of law enforcement.

A bill changing Ohio law and allowing Shockwave like weapons has passed the Ohio Senate and will be signed very soon.

Sportsman's Guide has KSGs for $600 and Grabagun shows Shockwaves for $345. $255 isn't a big difference, especially considering how much capacity you'd be gaining.

The Mossberg is a proven firearm design, one that I've used overseas actually. The shockwave is short, handy, compact, and light.

The ksg is, well a kel tec. Besides a surprising number of kills on live leak they are not a reliable design. They are fun when they work, no doubt about it. They are short but they are bulky, unreliable, and prone to breakages. They aren't heavy but they certainly aren't light.

I used to have one. Was a pretty good gun.  My biggest issue with it was clearing jams. It’s a royal pain because the loading and ejection share the same port meaning you need to wiggle out any stock shell case through the elevator arms while trying to keep from releasing the next round in the tube (or out the selector to middle to prevent this).

When it works it’s great, but good luck with a malfunction. My understanding is the RFB shares a similar issue.

I had a regular Mossberg 500 with an 18.5" barrel and full stock before I bought my Shockwave. I'm keeping both. As silly as it is, one of the major motivators in me buying the Shockwave is the thumbing of my nose to the ATF.

I am guessing people with braces on the Shockwave are using them to cheek weld?  What's the recoil like doing something like that?  Does it smack the fuck out of you?  Or recoil back and nail your shoulder?

I want a Shockwave, but don't want any braces but am interested in what the experience of shooting one with a brace is like.

Does anyone make a double-barrel 12 gauge pistol? I want a Mad Max gun.

I put a SB brace on my Remington version.  The drop in the stock is the same as my Benelli M4 and is perfect with my Big Dot XS tritium front sight.  I only shoot Federal 13300 Low Recoil 00 Buck or low recoil slugs through it.  It's comfortable for a 12 gauge.  There's no flex in the brace and it's surprisingly comfortable.  I highly recommend.

Ive posted videos. I don't want to say it's fine. It is for me but I can't speak for her or anyone else. I'm 6feet, 220lbs with 20 years of powerlifting/manual labor. Good technique helps though.

If you take an 18" sxs and cut the stock off it will pretty much be at the legal minimum.

@0E8

12ga regardless

If recoil is a concern grab a $15 adapter and run Aguila mini-slugs. 9+1 of 385gr slugs at 1250fps
