My user name tells my service dates. All with HQ. Battery, 14th Marines (arty) as a 2531 (0621 for you n00bs) --radio operator. I got lucky and after volunteering (NEVER VOLUNTEER) to get my Light Tactical Vehicle Operators License, I got assigned as the C.O.'s driver/radioman. I served in that capacity until my enlistment ended. |

Active duty USAF 1975-2000, Chief Master Sergeant (ret). ICBMs entire career, first 10 years Titan II launch crew, next 10 years Minuteman II maintenance, last five years test launching Minutemans, Peacekeepers, NMD, etc. at Vandenberg AFB. Last couple years was 576 FLTS Maintenance Supt. Dad was Navy in WWII, Grandad Army WWI, son was Army Ranger a couple years. This is my first post here so is also my introduction. Traded my preban HBAR 6601 for a preban SP-1 M4A3 conversion. HBAR was too front heavy for me. My HBAR was blocked and the SP-1 isn't and I hope to get a RDIAS in the future so that was another reason for the swap. Other interests include 1911 .45s and Microtech blades. Have learned a lot here already, thanks to all the contributors, back to lurk mode. |

I have traveled around the world literally several times around and have met and made many friends. Hope you all have a merry and safe holiday season.. |

Army ROTC Cadet - 2000-2003 Oregon Army National Guard SMP Cadet 2PLT Co B 2/162 IN - 2002-2003 US Army Infantry Officer - 2003-2005+ US Army Signal Corps Officer - 2005+ I haven't yet entered active duty, but I will in June as an Infantry Officer. I am currently slotted with two-years service as an Infantry officer, and the remainder of my time as a Signal officer. I want to command infantry, though, so hopefully I can extend my branch detail to allow that. If not, I hope to transfer to IN to get my command. |
