Currently carry a P365XL and use a Colt 10.3" CQC for home defense.
Looking at replacing the CQC with a Ruger LC Charger . PSA Rock Compact (TBD) for carry. Standardize across the board with 5.7; get rid of all my 9mm and (almost) all my 5.56. |

fuk all that
do you have other capabilities? nv thermal homies on call? unfat? get god mode first then comeback eta: no way i would dump all my nato for a squirl chode dick caliber |

It's a free country, do what you want, and I really like my Rock, but I wouldn't do that. Especially on the rifle end.
In a cartridge that really, really needs velocity to shine for SD (and whether it does shine or not is debatable), I also wouldn't go with a short barrel pistol. The Rock's barrel is 5 and change, and I honestly would prefer it an inch or ao longer. As I keep repeating, the cartridge, even at the 27 grain or less load you should be using in a pistol, needs another 150 to 200 fps. But do whatever. 99.99999% of the time, it'll never be used for a SD purpose. |

A 5.7 with 5 mags is a heck of a lot of get to the rifle juice.

I guess I can see the utility in a full auto pdw but it's sort of the thing you carry when you don't have the room to carry an actual rifle. I won't go telling people what to do when it comes to caliber selection. I will say that it would be advisable to research the caliber, and the cost, thoroughly before making such a decision. |

I meant to watch it, or even find a brief synopsis, but oh well. Did Garand Thumb use SS 198 or 192? If not, then he didn't prove anything. Which isn't surprising. If he did, and it still sucked, then let's see. It's not awful in 27 gr. It is stupidly expensive for what you get, not at all something you want in a small pistol, and it needs to be faster. Jesus, and necked down 10mm Auto is sitting right #(=9#* there.... Sigh. It is a surprisingly easy to shoot bullet hose, with a trajectory flatter than T$'s ass. The memes have been great though, ngl. MOAR! |

It's expensive.
Gel tests look ok. Only gets rifle like performance above 2000 fps, which gets spendy in the pistol. Not much animal testing w/ the spendy rounds I've seen - go shoot some hogs w/ yer set up. I've considered rechambering a Fold AR in 5.7 - would be even more spendy, but still not convinced the ammo gives rifle like performance from a handgun. Big pistol to conceal. @PursuitSS has already done it. |

When you factor in the cost of the ammunition the retail price of the guns doesn't really matter. So why go with the budget options? Just get the FN PS90 and FN5.7 pistol.

Ammo price isn't any more a factor than the premium 5.56 stuff and 9mm.

I always find it hilarious when people talk shit about 5.7 like it's an ineffective or under powered round. I'd say it was pretty effective on November 5, 2009 at Ft. Hood. People seem to forget that happened.

Love 5.7 and think a Ps90 is an excellent tool for its intended role but it shouldn’t imo replace a serious fighting rifle. It’s a good supplement to arm a person who’s weight, recoil, or blast sensitive or a way to have a small light handy weapon when you don’t believe you will otherwise need the weapon. Like it for the vehicle or for a pack. Wife loves hers I’ll still default to a full size rifle caliber for rifle work if able.

Being serious, I have a PS90, and a Rock 5.7, the Rock is currently unfired
The PS90 is, ok. It cool and all, it's just for a firearm I paid over $1900 for, I would prefer the accuracy exceed that of a $400 PSA AR. Maybe that's apples and apricots, that's how I look at it. |
