I'm pretty sure I never watched a movie because Sam Jackson starred in it.
OTOH, I certainly could make sure never to watch a movie with Sam Jackson in it, if I so desired. Public letter to Samuel L Jackson: Sam, see how this works when you say stupid things that anger a big part of your potential customer base? Those residual payments from Netflix and other vendors showing/selling your movies might dry up. Sure, you have some money laid back, but no telling what the future might bring. A bad lawsuit, or a newfound kid might crimp your style. Sammy, buddy, you're entitled to your private thoughts. Just keep them private, OK? |

A marginal talent at best. He plays the same role regardless of which movie he's in. He's always the "angry black man". Yeah, we get it.
Will Smith is much the same. Both of these guys ruin more movies than they help. At least he doesn't do the "angry black man" schtick in every single movie he's in. If either of them are in a movie, it's a hard pass for me. I also hit mute when the Capital One commercials come on, or change the channel. |
