Quick question for you guys. I posted this in the Ruger sub forum but it is usually pretty slow so... I have a Ruger American 5.56. I noticed the the bolt release pin sticking way out of reciever, touching the stock actually. It seems to be a really loose fit. I can't imagine it is supposed to touch the stock. I used a punch and put it back in as far as it would go. I only noticed this because I was putting it in a Magpul stock I worked rhe bolt 10 or 15 times and it seemed to stayed in place. Anyone experienced this issue. Thanks in advance. |

I’d say it fits, but if it was half an inch longer stock pack it wouldn’t fit. |
I got the 7.62x39. Have the 3x PA optic and its too damn easy like this. got the optic for $100 on a scratch and dent sale instore at PA and got the rifle for $500 from a guy moving state trying to lighten his load. Rifle on top is the 300 hamr. I use both of these for eradication.

There were a couple questions about the 1913 adapter I’m using. It’s a KNS adapter that’s been cut. Engineered Silence makes a product that’s better suited for this and doesn’t need cut. I wasn’t aware of this product until the last page of this thread. ES 1913 Adapter My chassis and KNS

I do love my RAR in 556 - it is my new fave gun to take to the range... Great balance - handy, great range and easy on the wallet to shoot. I am wanting to set it up to do some varmint hunting - busted a yote with a friends 300 blackout set up about a month ago... Will do a night vision scope - thinking the Sight mark Wraith 4K. Have a Griffin Armament Optimus Micro in jail currently - thinking I will get it in September. When I first got the gun the muzzle flash was ferrous - I did a three prong flash suppressor and it works really good... What taper mount should I go with? Taper Mount Minimalist Stealth Flash Suppressor Taper Mount Stealth Flash Suppressor - 2.25" Taper Mount Hammer Comp 22 Thoughts? Red |

What size Hex or Torx are the screws on the top rail ? I just got a RAR 5.56 & want to ad some loctite on them before I decide on what optic im putting on it. I got a few boxes each of 4 different kind of rounds to try & see what it likes before committing to buying a larger ammo quantity of said ammo , not match ammo cause this will be a plinker. 50 to 100yds. - any issues you guys have experienced with 10rd pmags or 10rd Lancer smoke fde color mags ? excited to go to outdoor range & give this a run. thanks everyone. |

I replaced mine just to avoid the headache down the road. |

| Damnit. Because of the last few comments I ordered the billet cocking piece. Then, I realized have three of these to order for. 450 BM, 6.5 Grendel, 300 BLK. Going back to hunting with bolt guns and moving the autoloaders to HD / SHTF duty. |

I was going to swap out the handle for a Glades Armory when I change the cocking piece, but ran into an issue and it looks like there is no way to ask Glades a question, their "Contact Us" button is only a search function for their "knowledge base". Before I give up on sending them money  , I thought I would ask here if anyone using their handle could answer my question.My RAR in 300BLK has the old style cocking piece. My bolt handle has the new pear shaped knob with the flat end, but seems to measure 0.497" which is the old dimension. It would be nice if one could send Glades a chat or an email with a question. Anyone with a RAR 300 that switched their knob for a Glades have any advise? Attached File |

Yeah but I just measured it without disassembling it I guess it's the same size on the inside. Kind of wanted to do it all at once. The pics on The glades website shows them measuring the part of the handle that's inside the bolt. |

Attached File They have been very responsive to any of my questions. I placed an order then submitted a question regarding knob shapes. They replied right away and sent me both knobs with instructions to pick which one I liked and return the other in the postage paid mailer. Only charged me for one knob from the get go. |
