We splurged the other day at our local neighborhood place. Two 18" pizzas was like $45. One was a meat lovers and one was a falafal (don't ask, that's the one my wife wanted to try). Three dinners for each of us. So yeah kinda spurgey for what we normally spend eating, but we don't go out often and hadn't ordered pizza in probably a year. Usually we make it, but work and the new puppy had us plain tired this weekend so we said why not. Ironically, I went to my friend's place later that evening and they had broken out the electric table top pizza over they received as a gift. The quality was outstanding and it baked it fast - like 5 minutes. We had a great time experimenting with different dough thickness, amounts of sauce, and topping/sauce combinations. I can't see them ordering pizza again. |
