| Took the ex to a late breakfast this morning after getting back to town from an overnight extended family gathering. Simple blue collar restaurant we've both gone to our entire lives. Simple meal of omelettes home fries toast and juice for me. Bill came to $50. My dad is probably spinning in his grave. I remember how mad he was when coffee at the same place went over . 50 a cup in the 70s |

Good timing for me I guess, that I have just repeatedly made my own Detroit Style Pizza. Albeit I retired and have the time. I do believe however that high quality Detroit Style Pizza is easier to make in the average home, than regular styles of Pizza, I think it's because of it cooking in a pan: I made Detroit Pizza Attached File Attached File |

We had to speak to their loan officer before ordering a Montague's a while back when we visited family. I know it's just me/communism but cooked bread, meat and tomatoes seem to not cost what they did a bit ago. Instead of acknowledging that fact, I find that it's best to remind myself that this is actually exactly what I wanted and my guy can do no wrong. |

When the minimum wage goes up, so does the pie. |
| I always order pizza online because you will generally get better deals and they are less likely to fuck up on the toppings because you eliminate the person that enters in the order if you were to call in or order from the counter. If you want to really get the best deal you can search for codes and enter them in online but it can be hit or miss if they will work because they will either be expired or be geographically specific. |

They had a big painted menu board over the grill behind the counter seating. The prices were normal I thought. Sadly I did not know that their actual on the table menu prices had gone up a few times since that menu board went up. I hadn’t really looked at the table menu as we were BSing too much. $48 iirc for two breakfast specials, plus coffees, an oj, and his extra bacon order. I thought the gal at the register had the wrong slip as it was nothing close to my rough head math from looking at the big menu board over the grill. The big signboard was gone the last time I was in. Apparently the prices go up too fast to paint them. |
