All this has me wondering now how Crescent rolls would do with sausage gravy. We have a roll in the fridge that didn't get used for the sausage/cream cheese rollup things and it will otherwise go to waste. Think I know what I will try tomorrow

Simple solutions for a power outage if still want to get a sitrep in the absence of the internet and TV:
A) get yourself a shitty radio that runs on batteries or can be easily recharged with a dynamo, you’ll be limited to AM/FM radio, but at least it’s something. B) Make sure your laptop is fully charged at all times, if you got solar to charge it even better + cheap SDR receiver ($25-30). Even if the internet is down you can fire up the scanner (these things can receive anywhere from 500kHz all the way up to 1.7Ghz) and you’ll easily be able to listen in on unencrypted radio and get a sense of what’s going on. If you’re savvy you can even listen in on unencrypted trunked police radio, airports, weather satellites the list goes on There’s really no excuse not to have these items on hand to at least get some sense of what’s going on beyond your line of sight |

seeing how were moving slow at this time. i did loose power over the summer and was surprised when i turned on generator i had cable and internet. Also the mini rechargeable lanterns are the balls got em from midway for like 12$
