Hey everyone,

Oops! Unknown to me, the plastic cover on the foot of our couch was broken and when I went to slide it, it dug in and cut into our flooring.  I believe the flooring is vinyl and this is a rental so I want to just patch it up to save security deposit when we do get out of here.

Has anyone had good luck doing this DIY?  I am more mechanically inclined than delicate with this sort of stuff.

Do you know if the pieces are interlocking or not?  Some are tongue and groove, other's just stick right to the floor.  The latter would be the easiest way to replace just that one tile.

Perhaps your landlord will have spares.  Might be best to just tell them about it.
