This was recommended to me by a friend. Absolutely fascinating first hand account by one of the first guys to invest heavily in Russia after the Cold War. Shows how brutal and corrupt the Russian government really still remains.

Good book.  Really drives home the idea that Russia is a "mob-run gas station with nuclear weapons".

I'm really amazed that "something" hasn't happened to Browder, but I think he may have kept a high enough profile that even Putin doesn't want to mess with him beyond screwing with him using Interpol Red Notices or whatever.

For now, at least.
