If he was truly wished dead he would be dead already. This conflict needs to be drawn out to maximize the profits and appease the banks before China is attacked as well.

I wouldn't be surprised at some incredibly clumsy and transparent false flag, in which Ukrainian "nazis" sneak into his house and kick his dog and try to kill him, but he beats them up with judo moves!!
