The policies allowing for formula that doesn’t contain soy protein is a good start. I like that idea.
However, the “Access to Baby Formula Act” doesn’t directly have anything to do with baby formula. It grants government entities additional authority over industry. |

I understand that a significant number of women cannot breastfeed, but there is no fucking way that the number of women who say they cant are telling the truth. There is no way we would have made it as a species.
I'm a dad to 2 breastfed kids and I was there along the way. It was very hard, and took a tremendous sacrifice. Just like everything else when it comes to kids. |

A mother who hasn't breastfed her baby in "x" weeks has quit milk production, so it's a moot point. We need to deal with the situation at hand first, and then decide to use it as an example if we want to change the culture going forward. Honestly, though, good luck with that. You can't keep a decent amount of mothers from killing their babies, so I doubt pushing breastfeeding is going to work out. (Disclaimer: None of this is meant to sound sarcastic or offensive to SDSG. I know it sounds like it could be taken in that light.  )
