Ha not on my watch !! This sweet souls was going to be put down this morning at 7:30 with her unborn pups! I couldn’t sleep at night knowing I could have done something! I have a full plate but like mark said “what’s one more “ Going to the vet today to get checked out !! I’ll let everyone know !! Wish us luck ??

I started reading the original post out loud to my wife and before I got very far she snapped "NO". She says Momma dog has a home here and Lucy and Ethel can make room. Mind you we are on a farm in East Central Illinois, so a tag team would have to be arranged. But, if no person closer offers Momma dog a home, she has a home here in Illinois, if we can get drivers arranged. We would like to know her name, hoping it is Ruby because that was Lucy and Ethel's names were before Joker1 rescued them both. |

Miss Prentiss is ready for her forever home !! She’s all dried up and fully vetted !!!    Prentiss is a sweet calm, laid back shy girl who loves kids, dogs of all sizes and breeds, cats and everything. She is a mother hen and when you give her a chance to open up she is very protective of her family she will watch over all of you with a gracious heart. It takes her a little bit to warm up to adult men but never aggressive at all, she will only bark and run. Just give her treats and praises and she will love you so fast. She is very low maintenance, low energy but will go for walks, runs or hikes with you. She has never been destructive when left alone, does well with a harness vs a collar and knows her basic commands. Prentiss will love your family as if you were her own children! |

Jordan is taking the pups to an adoption event on Saturday, so hopefully some will find Forever homes there. If you are interested, tell me and I will text her. We are searching for the father. We have a warrant and a court order for child support.  Back to serious for a moment. I doubt anybody knows. I'm guessing Prentiss got pregnant by a stray or a neighbor and the family dumped her. I don't know that though. Not sure if Jordan got the story from the shelter or not. The adoption had to happen so fast to save her life. |
