I'm not sure whether there's anything special about these. This Hamilton railroad pocket watch belonged to my great grandfather who worked on the railroad. He died when he was struck by a train. It was passed to my grandfather, then to my father, and now to me.
After setting it and giving it a full winding, it ran perfectly for approximately 36 hours before it needed to be wound again. Seems to keep time perfectly, though I've not determined its exact +/- seconds per day. Attached File Attached File |

I'm usually not into watches, but I just picked this Fossil watch up. Gunmetal gray band with the navy dial. Matches my wedding colors for the guys' suits and the girls' dresses.

This showed up today. Found it on eBay and the price was right ($200). Shinola makes them. Quartz with a screw down stem, 30atm rating, and an AR coated domed sapphire crystal. 42mm case. I love the lighter blue tone on the bezel between 12 and 3 and the fact that the bezel is lumed is a bonus. I like big easy markers and not a lot of clutter. A classic retro look, but with a no BS water rating. I need to get it on a NATO strap, and from what I understand the lugs have 2 sets of holes. Attached File Attached File |
