| Mostly because S7 rusts easily but takes a really nice polish. I'm seeing sanding lines in the buffed finish so it's back to that for now. Might have to go to 2000 grit. I've sculpt the guard as well, gotta take pics of that. Also need to invent something to make it easier to do on my grinder instead of with a file and dremel. |

Tried to finish this last night and fucked up the solder joint. Going to pull it apart and try again once I make I nicer graver.

I really don't know shit about kitchen knives. This is the second one I've made and the first was heavy enough to be a clever. The customer wanted a general purpose knife with this wood so I basically just spitballed this profile. It's a laser beam. I ground it to zero then sharpened it It's kind of scary.

Chef knife is complete after a little rework. Will take better pictures and make a leather saya tonight. Speaking of which I need to order another side of leather. 1095 @ 63 rc with white hamon, ground to zero before sharpening, .093 at the spine with full distal taper. It is a laser beam that will treetop hair off your arm and chop 1" cleanly into a phone book on edge. Spalted maple and black paper micarta handle, epoxy sealed at the shoulder.
