is there a way for pihole to not return links in a web browser search that will be blocked from opening them if clicked.  Its generally a conflict with my wife when she clicks on say the "sponsored" search returns in google and she tells me that her internet isn't working which is false.  So to save some headaches is there a way for those results to not even show up in say google via the pihole?

You cannot easily do it since most things are https and the browser would throw a cert error.

Scrubbing the results need to be done with something like a greasemonkey script.

The right thing to do is stop using Google for your web searches. Move to Brave and stop those sponsored results.
