Heck, one more that was actually shot today.  They're slowly coming back; we have 2 males and 1 female so far.

A friend of mine has gotten pretty serious about photography over the years. Besides taking pictures he puts on one of the most awesome 3 gun shoots ever. Wyoming Tactical Rifle Competition. Anyhow here is his photo blog.

Nice shot OP.  I couldn't get that close in Dallas.

They have a spare bird in case one is offline which may explain two #3's.

I know they have a spare(s), but I figured they'd be numbered differently. "Hey Bob, you're in 3 today" "Which one?"

There was a seventh "chase?" jet as well a bout a mile back. Could not get it in that tight shot.

I thought they carried vinyl numbers for that purpose...  Surely they aren't suffering supply chain issues due to "made in China".

I'm not so sure a vinyl number would stay on the side of the plane at 400 knots.

A photo from last summer.  I only had a GoPro with me at the time, thinking I might do the ridge traverse, but I was kind of behind my time hack, so I just limited the day to photos, instead.  The DSLR would have done this better.

Woody wood pecker came visiting. Slightly out of focus. He was moving all over the place and wouldn't sit still long enough for a steady focus.

After Woody's visit then came a ruby throated hummer. He was siting in the shade. Adjusted the camera best I could before he got nervous. So I took the shots.

I think the GoPro did just fine.  I'm continually amazed at what I can get out of my Hero6

This shot, obviously, was NOT taken with a GoPro.

I had a copy of the Tokina Opera 16-24 f2.8 delivered as I'm doing some more before/afters for a home renovation company locally.

This thing is heavy, but seems decently built. I looked at the at-x pro that's mentioned here from time to time but didn't want another dx wide angle that wouldn't be discarded when I move on from the D500.
