Heck, guess I oughta actually post a pic. I kicked up 3 blue herons, a half dozen wood ducks, and two bald eagles here today. Gotta go back next week; going to stay over, bring the 11-16 and 200-500, sneak in at sunset, and see what I can see.

Not today, but a few years ago. I was working at a Telco cross-connect box, and I was hearing a buzzing sound, and I felt hot metal hit my hard hat. Having been a power company lineman before my Telco days, I knew what that sound was. The slow-blow fuse on the circuit above me didn't exactly blow. I had a work trip waaay north up to Anaktuvuk Pass this last week. I managed to get some photos taken between work stuff. I'm still offloading the camera, but since I finally finished my state med boards and got my license for my primary job, I'll hopefully have time for more photo work.
