I’ve heard rumors that the poleeese won’t shut a car off for a twelve hours straight. For Heavens!!!

“Nice little payday”. How old are you?
I’m white and don’t turn my truck off. I put something under the handle so I don’t have to hold it to pump my fuel and stand on my open door so I can listen to the radio and let that cold air caress my nut sack. |

Have you ever watched NASCAR OP?
Or Formula 1? (The race cars are fueled while running) |
|
We hot fuel helos and aircraft all the time. Turn off the the TV and stop following every single rule ,just because it's a rule.
Bet you wear a mask alone in your car , don't you? |

TX posters…always bitching about what other people do rather then focusing on bigger issues

I see the Karen idiots are out.
Filling a running car isn't gonna hurt jack shit. |
|
I've accidentally spilled gas all over running small engines and didn't blow up. I imagine filling a cars tank while running is like 0% risk.

Quoted: I usually set my CO2 extinguisher out by the pump before I tank and put it back when tanking is complete. Twice, both times in PA, someone asked "is that a company vehicle and company policy?" Yes. I own the company, it's my vehicle, and my policy. The fact is, I want to be able to act fast when some jerkweed gets back into their car, builds up a static charge, and ignites the gasoline fumes at their tank cap. CO2 won't contaminate a fuel tank like baking soda will. One summer project is to weld up a bracket that will allow the extinguisher to stand vertically behind the driver's seat freeing up space and making for faster deployment. View Quote That’s pretty fucking ridiculous. |

When is the last time filling a running vehicle at a gas station caused a fire?
Normal run of things of course, without some god-tier hillbilly shit in the equation. |
|
The most common people doing it are police officers. There is literally no problem with it.

I fill my car while running all the time. But I have died 87 times so far while doing so.

I had a Karen (before we knew what a Karen was) hit the emergency shutoff because I was filling up with engine running
That said, I won't do it on a motorcycle, but no issue on most front engine cars and trucks. |

Pretty sure this thread did not go OP’s way. Also I’ve done literally hundreds of hot quick-turns on fighter jets on the flightline. Meaning engines running hot, pilot in the cockpit, taking fuel on board and reloading ordnance all at the same time. No fireball. Although it would have made for better stories.

Around here we leave the vehicle running when it's cold. Never really noticed someone leave their vehicle running when it's 20 F +

I'm thinking about pit crews, and how they slosh fuel all over the place when filling up still running race cars, and trying to do it as fast as they can.

Quoted: LOL Guess what, I’ve refueled aircraft while they’re running too. Get over it, it’s no more dangerous than shutting the car off. View Quote This. Hot-fueled lots of AC. Some pantywaist thinking I'm somehow going to Hiroshima the neighborhood when hotfueling a diesel can fuck right off. |

I always fill it running. Started a few years ago. Not like we see cars on fire everyday from leaving them on....
|
|
Do it all the time, even in Oregon when they had professional gas pumpers they'd fill me up with it running.
|
|
Quoted: Did you know that fighter aircraft turn their engines off when mid air refueling. The boom entangles with the jet and holds it up! Da fuq cares if you turn the car off, I keep my bike running when I fill it up, hell I've spilled gas on the tank and OMG it didn't catch fire View Quote |

More of a risk of static spark from the slack jawed mouth breathing faggots dragging their feet when they walk
to the pump. |

Quoted: Look at this Asshole no turning his jet off while filling up. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/191468/unnamed_jpg-1959908.JPG View Quote The crew isn't checking his oil and tire pressure, or filling his wiper fluid. The tax payers are getting ripped off. Full service used to mean something in this country, not just take his travel card digits and pump fuel while reading a Maxim. Kharn |

Remember kids, 70% of humanity is functionally retarded.
Been filling up with engine running all my life. Don't retard my life commie! |

I don’t normally go for the regional bashing but this time is will. I knew you were from the south. Head to a cold climate and you will see lots of people filling up with the engine running when it’s cold out. It really sucks when you can’t get your car to start at the pumps.

If any of my cars have ever been fueled with the engine off its probably cause i coasted in outta fuel.

I don't care how anyone else does it. I turn my car off to fill up.
