i've seen security like this in Tulsa, complete with K9's. I've heard their biggest use is evicting renters on the Northside by their landlords.

Discredited and banned member FerFal308 mentions it in his book where the more affluent will hire security to protect them where the police won't or can't.

Police have to respect your Constitutional Rights. Private security doesn't. However, they have to look to the state law as to the authority they may assert over a private party. Californiastan is just secure & report (but they can make citizens' arrest).

It's a matter of find the right security agency. The one that hires retired cops will have a better trained person, but they could be burnt out azzwholes who are lazy as phuck. Thus they need policies, procedures and very good supervision to ensure they do their job and assert their limited authoritah.

I've seen these guys in Detroit. Although the article seems to imply mostly residential protection, I see them near construction zones at night where they patrol the entire block, not just the actual building being built. My business was the beneficiary of their patrols while they were putting up a building next to me. They chase away the bums looking for handouts. I can't be sure but I think Dan Gilbert buildings use them to secure the blocks where he is redeveloping as a neighborly gesture
