So wife had this from the nail polish storage,until she swapped to something else, so I tried it for my paints.

Works great, stores upright and lays flat to get paint.

Holds 60 paints and a big bottle, this is primer ,kind of pricey at $45, each side hols 30 paints

But for me I don't have space to have everything laid out and I can take it to friends houses

I need to paint it

I am working on a 3D printed design, trying to make it agnostic to the common bottle designs.

I have to be able to easily pick it up and move it, because I can't leave stuff like that out in my house (5 yr old on the loose).

When I travel, I have one of the plastic boxes that goes into a modern tackle box, it holds all the paints, tools, etc and goes easily into my luggage. But it only holds a small amount and doesn't organize them too well.
