I like the black dial slightly more, but my aging eyes might not see the hands as well. Same issue with silver dial.

I already have a yellow dial fake Sub 300 and an orange dial Seiko Samurai.

I showed my wife the turquoise dial, she gave me The Look that said "Not if you ever want to get with me again."

Arriving tomorrow, will update op with pics. Until then:

I asked my daughter which one looked better, she immediately said “the T.A.R.D.I.S.-colored one.”

Got it!

Watches of Switzerland wraps it up in grey gift paper.  Inside is this box:

which contains this soft zip box with swag:

The watch itself.  Hands are silver, so it reflects silver in some light, black in other.  Wife thinks it is very sexy

Beads of Rice bracelet is VERY comfortable.

Watch is much lighter than my Seiko Samurai or my Seiko Turtle.  It's a nice bridge between Manly Dress Watch and Big-Ass Dive Watch.

I like it

I own two DOXAs.

A 1500T Searambler and a 1957 hand wound that I spent waaaay too much on and had restored. One of my favorite watches.

DOXA is a niche market, and very under appreciated.

Your is an excellent example of their new offerings.

thanks. It's hard to explain how nice it is.  I didn't appreciate it until I went outside into the sunlight and saw how the silver gleams.

Next on my list is a 1500T Professional with the orange face like Dirk Pitt

Nice!

You should have done a nerdy unboxing video to embarrass your kids

Ugh, now I am VERY tempted to drop money on either the 300T or 1500T, with orange face and BoR bracelet…

Great looking classic.

I love the renaissance and resurgence of old Swiss dive watch companies we have been seeing the past several years.

Interestingly, a number of reviewers when these first came out said the bezel insert wasn't lumed.  Mine is.  My bezel insert is also dark blue, not black.  I guess the reviewers had early pre-production models.

Nice! That was in the running for me before I ordered my Samurai dark manta ray last month. I'm not sure I dig the beads of rice, but everyone says how comfortable they are though. Must be something to them. Beautiful watch man!

I have been wearing it for several days.  Keeps great time. Very comfortable.   It is so light that I forget it is there.

I am actually surprised that I can read the hands so well. My aging eyes need something high-contrast like black hands on orange or yellow dial.  But this is easy to read because of the large white lume slots.

I still want an orange-faced Doxa like Dirk Pitt, dammit!

Awesome looking piece!!!!

I definitely want a doxa, but the high price points keep me away.  The Sub200 (and especially seeing yours OP) has me rethinking....

UPDATE 2:

I like this watch but I don't want it to get dinged up.  So much I ordered one of these as an outdoor/chores/beater watch, arrives Wednesday.  Will post unboxing pics!

Nice.  Your thread has had me looking at DOXA's.  Did not know about Dirk Pitt wearing one, or Robert Redford in Three Days of the Condor.

well, I unboxed the Doxa 300T, and while it's nice, it's not any nicer than the Seiko Turtle homage to the 1500T I built last month.    Plus the 300T dial is too small for me to see easily (aging eyes) compared to the Turtle or the Sub 200.  The Doxa 300T was $1900, and I can build another Turtle that looks and functions the same (but with bigger dial) for $500.  I'm returning the 300T tomorrow.  Yes, I kept it in ready-to-return condition, didn't pull the plastic off or adjust the bracelet, just took it out and looked at it for 5 minutes.

The few specimens i've seen in person struck me as having smaller than normal dials. If you're used to larger Seikos, returning it makes sense.

Watches Of Switzerland was excellent to deal with. Sent me a fedex return label on Friday, had my Amex refunded the following Thursday after they received and inspected it. And that was over Memorial Day weekend. Very pleased with their customer service.

Last week I got my wife hooked on Clive Cussler novels. We hit the used bookstores and picked up all these for around$50

The Mediterranean Caper
Iceberg
Raise The Titanic
Vixen 03
Cyclops (which I think was the best)
Deep Six
Sahara
Treasure
Inca Gold
Atlantis Found
Valhalla Rising
Trojan Odyssey

I had Dragon, still looking for Night Probe.

Not a fan of Flood Tide, Pacific Vortex, or Shock Wave.

I like the dive table built into the bezel, that's a cool feature compared to a simple timing bezel. Too bad you were having trouble reading the watch.

Forgot I had taken a picture of the Sub 300T.  Damn nice watch.  I think the Sub 1500T would suit my eyes better... but it doesn't have the beads of rice bracelet (although I could put an aftermarket one on there).

Came across your thread title right after ordering my 300T and freaked out until I read through and found your issues with it

Wanted one of these for years.
