TGIF Sa/oU!!!!
Exciting weekend plans? Not much of anything going on for MissB this weekend.  Would like to do something or go somewhere but may just end up hanging out @ home with my little boys & doing usual chores.Just when I'm pretty sure this thread is dying a slow death Sly, M1 & DPM show up with lively conversation. Since Sly has been so busy, don't get opportunity to relish in his presence often. Love that GQ sexy Montana man, no idea about most of your post (nothing new there) but better luck next time my friend. Should have schmoozed the female instructor, turned on your immense charm to get your way; it's NOT like you don't have the power wrapped up in a hot, smoldering package.  MrsM hope you catch up on rest this weekend, myself, looking forward to sleeping in; didn't want to haul my ass out of bed for nothing. Hooligan, hope you get that project completed today so you can enjoy weekend with family. Hang in there hun, hugs heading your way. Terry, weather conducive for heading to the shore over the weekend? Mouse, another evil avatar; this one looks a lot like real ink, nice!  Picked up a file to do a suit, the Affidavit & last statement $ is off, went & plopped it on attys desk. So, long post short, not going to do much of anything @ work today. May go out to lunch with atty, smoke in the parking lot with my co-workers, surf ARFcom & leave early. Sounds like a decent day in the grind for this girl. |

It occurred to me last weekend as I sat miserably and watched the rain splatter on the driveway, that it just might be slightly less miserable sitting under one of these awnings, watching the raindrops dance on the water instead . . . 
Fortunately the weather cooperated today, so I got off my ass this morning and rode over to SSI for awhile. Got my feet wet (yes M1, there be water there!). Although you can't really tell it from the photo, unlike the previous 'feet in the water' pic my feet are not actually on the beach. It was high tide so I only made it down to the bottom of the steps. But enough sand washed over my feet to give that 'feet in the sand' feeling.
Whenever I go to St. Simons, I always get fried calamari at the Iguanas restaurant at Neptune Park. It's fantastic, and nobody here serves decent calamari . . . 
Got more pics, potato and non-potato, that I'll have to sort through and upload. |

Ahhhh, Sunday Sa/oU, day of rest & chores.
 House is clean, laundry about done, trip to the dump & picked up a few things @ the grocery store. Long Lake in Naples, usually chuck full of tourists but cloudy day so lot more accessible.  Songo River Queen getting ready to head out on her Sunday booze cruise.  Curling up with the pups for super speedway racing @ Michigan.

Paddled the kayak around the Lake James today. My brother was in town so he tagged along. We didn't go far but the scenery was nice. Lots of people out on the lake we found our own rock and had lunch and a swim. I caught a couple small sunfish and saw several huge bass in the river but couldn't get them to bite a thing. We saw a bald eagle which is fairly rare here. I hate I couldn't get a pic but he was too far away sitting in the top of huge tree. That's the second I've seen this summer, maybe they are coming back.

I've got to get a fish finder on this thing. I know there was a deep river channel in the lake but I couldn't find it. I'd bet money that's where the walleye's are hanging out. I forgot to put sunscreen on my feet so now I have two bright red triangles on the tops of my feet where my sandals didn't cover. When I came in my daughter said, "Daddy, what's wrong with your feet? Did you get in the fire ants again?"

 Real NICE pics this weekend, don't even enjoy squid but they look tasty along with the beautiful GA scenery. One of my gf's mother has been going to SSI for years & loves it; can certainly see why. Good to see you got out & enjoyed time with your bro Hooligan! Sunburned feet must be throbbing by now, ugh!  Any of us that is also snow-white skinned can relate; usually forget to do my ears & they always seem to get burned to a crisp. Looking forward to a more quiet & mundane week in the grind.
