As far as I know, boyfriend/girlfriend are not legal terms. Caregiver can be. I do know that the left is often far more active in receiving government support. Someone else can add in, but as an individual with full disability - I suspect the girlfriend is living on the government tit. No shame in that, if the tit is available might as well attach to it and suck it for what it is worth.
Now "for all it is worth." The gov has programs to pay caregivers. When I was an active CPA, I had clients who engaged in this "business". My clients mostly dealt with larger group homes, and received almost 100% of their income from contracts with the state. That said, there was also a program to place patients into individuals homes (with more personalized care). Foster got discharged early from the Air Force at 19 to care for this woman. I highly suspect that if he tried - caring for this woman was his paycheck. While he might have considered her his girlfriend (and she his boyfriend), he was NOT her husband and was often refereed to as primary caregiver. Honestly, I suspect that distinction might have been necessary to utilize the system. I am not blaming them for not getting married - getting married could have easily had a huge financial impact for both of them. |

This would explain how they were able to be protesting in Austin for 50+ days straight, usually when this type of stuff happens you at least hear about where the dead was employed.
