| I have about 10-12 years worth of Guns and Ammo, Shooting Times magazines from the 1980s. It's like a wayback machine. I would hate to just throw them away. There's a wealth of knowledge and history in those magazines. Anyone have ideas for what to do with them. DFW area. |

I have the entire 12 issues of Guns & Ammo from 1968, even have them in a G & A binder. Dad got me a subscription, and I read them cover to cover when I was a kid. Cool for the nostalgic articles and ads. I know they are worthless, but they bring back warm memories of parents long gone. |

Attached File Here is a Muzzleloading's magazine from 1976 (golden age of muzzleloaders) It even calls out Jimmy Carter lol. I bought it a few years ago because I like old gun stuff. |

I had a pile of old ham radio magazines from decades ago. I was going to toss them out but then decided to "condense" them. Using a razor blade, I removed the pages I wanted to keep. Projects, schematics etc.. and put them in file folders. The magazines were typically 50 pages and I kept maybe 6 or 7 pages per magazine. Problem solved...kinda. |

I threw away twenty years worth of gun magazines when I moved ten years ago. The pain is only temporary My dad died last week and I've spent this week throwing out over ten years of magazines and junk mail he accumulated after my mom died. Don't be a hoarder. If you want to keep a reference library that's one thing. If you aren't regularly referring to your collections content it just a dust collector. Don't be like that. |
