| I read shooting times. Lane Simpson developed the shooting times westerner. Still have a 7MM STW rifle. I miss reading Bob Milek in various magazines. He really got me into long distance shooting with a handgun. Years later I now have .300 win short mag Savage striker bolt action pistol. |

| SWAT had.some good.articles. I thought the Chuck Taylor pieces were good.I remember one in particular which was titled Bearing the load. He compared all types LBE's. Also common sense things like having your map and compass attached to your 1st layer (body) not in your pack. |

I loved SOF, I really liked the SITREP portion that would talk about conflicts you'd never hear about in the pre-internet dominant days. My mother saw a couple laying around on a visit and was concerned I was going to join some kinda militia or nazi shit or something...

First real deal Russian Bakelite, and plum mags showed up for sale (Mid 90's) by a company called Finn Bear! Think they were about $30 each. I bought four of both kinds! Then there was the ATF catfishing add for DIAS! Damn good times! |

Or if he asked somebody to mail him the match booklet with the stage diagrams. Other posters figured it out quickly enough and went full howler monkey on his ass. He still writes his drivel, and surprisingly I will see his name in the byline of articles inside Dillon’s catalog/periodical called the Blue Press. I always think, “What’s this douchebagg writing about now?” |

I want to say it was 1994, 1995, or1996 when American Handgunner magazine did an article about an oriental or filipino gal getting her Taurus PT100 or PT101 (.40 cal version) turned into an IPSC “racegun”. If anybody has that article or that particular issue, I’d like to buy it. |

It was a long straight-line design with a curved magazine, very AW-ish design. Had tall iron sights, the rear was on a platform of sorts with holes in it. It was in the magazines but I never actually saw one for sale. I have piles of old magazines, if there's something useful in there I should send them to get scanned. |
