I just phoned Okay Industries... they told me it is true.
Ph: (860) 225-8707 This sucks. |

I have no idea how many Okay mags I have. Not sure I have enough, but I know I have a lot.

Just grabbed ten more FDE E2's which are my favorite. Sad tidings indeed.
|
|
I probably have close to 100 30 round Okay mags in black, tan, and gray, but only 5 20 round mags.
Ordered another five gray 20 round mags this afternoon and may hit 'em again tomorrow for another 5 to 10. |
|
I'm sure a pro 2A company (like PSA) can just buy all the tooling and resume production. Isn't Okay in CT? I'm sure that's a factor.

Primary Arms in my go-to for OKAY Mags. All were in stock minus the gray 20 rounders as of this morning.

lanbos has some 30rd tan and gray mags available, just ordered 5 of each.

So who will be the new go to argument brand for the Pmag haters to argue against? I love Okay too but dang they try too hard to be haters of something that absolutely works and is on the same level of trust alike the Okays are
Duramag (C-Products)? D&H? Palmetto should inquire about buying the Okay tooling and knock another one out of the park for us |

Quoted: What’s a current in-stock source for the gray 20 rounders? I’ve been on several vendor’s “email me when I stock” lists for quite a while. View Quote This is when it's nice to have several rubbermaid tubs full of gray and black teflon 20s & 30s, NHMTG and Okay marked. Quoted: Quoted: They’re huge on IG. Makes me wonder who is buying all their mags as I see very few aluminum mags out in the wild anymore. I do, I don't like PMags. Same here. I have nothing but aluminum mags and a few seel ones for the range. |

I think I know the answer (economies of scale), but I always wondered why the 20-rounders were more than the 30-rounders.

Okay Industries sent me my e-mail today.
They are looking for buyers for their magazine business as well. We'll be grabbing a pallet or two of their mags, whatever we can afford really. |

Palmetto should inquire about buying the Okay tooling and knock another one out of the park for us View Quote I got 10 Okay mags right now, I'll probably be going with D&H now. I prefer the aluminums over plastic, and I kinda prefer the curved 20 rounders over the classic straight ones. Nice having the same common 30rd followers and springs in all your mags, not that it REALLY matters. I would stay away from C-Products. That's what came with my rifle and I picked up a couple more when I bought it. Every single one would cause a very difficult to clear double feed around the second or third round out of the mag. I kinda assumed AR mags are AR mags, they been around forever, no big secret to how they work. How bad can you fuck it up? After doing some research, and concluding that C-Products have a reputation for sucking, I trashed them and replaced with Okays. |
|
Previous page had someone indicating that Okay would cease manufacturing by the end of 2022. I assume that means they are currently still producing?

Ordered some from Primary Arms just now thanks for the heads up OP

Quoted: Did they get woke? Based on the current gun-buying rate still being above average, they must hate money. View Quote Maybe they don't make much on them? Maybe their lawyers forsee Dominion giving PoopyPants and Heels Up Harris the Whitehouse for the three more terms...making gun stuff will be an attack vector in that environment. Maybe they are in a really woke state and are catching constant hell from zombie natives? |

AR mags are a commodity industry. Who ever does it cheapest and quickest wins. I doubt the markup on them is all that great. Lots of others doing it just as well and just as cheap. They probably decided there was more money to be made elsewhere.

Just got a batch of 20s and 30s.
These are nice magazines. Ill have to get some more. |

Im glad I stocked up over the last 10 years, they are my favorite magazine.

So I just received some of the 30 Rd E2 Mags, production date of 01/21, I thought the E2 had blue followers?
The followers are greenish/gray or close to that color. Anyone have any information or know of any changes to the mags. ETA Sealed Bags, marked E2, definitely E2 Mags For those curious, found a thread, I am not alone |

@BGENE
I just received 10 mags yesterday. I had ordered the regular 30 rounders in gray. I received grey E2's. They are dated 1/21 and they have the appropriate blue followers. Your guess is as good as mine. |

I guess I will have to survive with the huge pile of mags I already have. If only there was a bunch of people that made good AR mags...
