I started surfing the Aero Precision website to order all of the parts I'd need to build an AR-10 in .243. I'd already made the decision to order a Shilen barrel with a supplied bolt and an aftermarket trigger was already on the list. Their website kept having problems and I decided to click on the chat button.
#40Fan: I'm looking to build an AR in .243 and would like to purchase everything but the barrel, bolt and trigger from you. Having issues navigating the website without running into errors. Can you help me out? AP Helper: Hello AP Helper: We do not male parts for the .243 AP Helper: unfortunately #40Fan: I plan to buy the barrel myself. Everything else you have for the .308, will work. #40Fan: But, if I have to tell you that....I'm probably shopping at the wrong place. *** #40Fan left the chat *** View Quote Maybe I should have worded my first sentence different, saying "I'm looking to build an AR-10 and would like to purchase everything but the barrel, bolt or trigger" and the AP helper wouldn't have been confused. |

Damn, life's hard, you should go to Ukraine for vacation, unwind,,take in the sites.

Yes, you certainly showed them That you’re much more intelligent and gun savvy

Maybe if you asked for 6mm Creedmoor, instead of 243, they would have taken you seriously.

Did you tell the poor rep your a 100% disabled veteran and instructor too?

Meh…
I asked a guy at the gun counter for 7.65 Browning and he had the blank stare for a minute. Then I said 32 ACP and it finally clicked. We all get brain farts once in a while. |

For a few minutes at Perry last summer, I had a RRA upper, rail, and .243 barrel in my hand. Dirt cheap. Can't remember the specifics, but it was going to be stupid inexpensive.
I was VERY tempted, but chose to pass. Probably shouldn't have. |

I went to a local gun store with a buddy Saturday and had to correct the counter guy several times when he was getting guns out for my friend.https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/476557/0EFC4C63-3F08-436E-BBA1-232B5F982AC5-2305245.png View Quote lol I helped a guy at Lowe's the other day in the plumbing section. I don't work at Lowe's. He thanked me for being more helpful than the Lowe's plumbing guy. He asked if I was a plumber, which I took offense to, but I did kind of look like a plumber at the time so I let it slide. |

Aero Precision lost a customer, but wasn't really a customer anyway.
In before Arfcom loses a customer too (when OP realizes his epic fail). |

OP: You're going to need counseling, either that or get PTSD. I'm just glad you're still with us.

Is this the way you treat a 100% disabled veteran of the US Marine Corps that served 22 years active duty and a former Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor?

Will you remove my comments on social media too? Will you have me banned from forums when I post negative feedback? What is going to be your reply when I file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau?

I placed an order for a SD Rifle and few other items to use up my 35%coupon was going to sell them for a profit. I had already sent them a list of processing problems during my FFL shipping confirmation communication which pissed them off.
Nick asked if I wanted to cancel my order replied with a no and that I would tell him if I wanted it cancelled. His next action was to cancel it and said he was issuing a refund. Geissele would and still does not reply to my phone calls or emails so I filed a complaint with the BBB which is waiting for Geissele's response. I sent the BBB the entire email thread as evidence. Geissele deleted the thread in the Industry Forum that listed several posts how Geissele deletes bad reviews....guess they didn't like the criticism so they deleted the entire thread listing the examples. They don't respond and don't want to honor the 35% off coupons from their BFS clown show. |

I just want to know why no one is stocking anything other than 15" + large frame handguards.
I'm wanting something smaller and SLR is the only thing available. I would FO but the point was that it was a "low cost" build. |
