Part of me think they will try to get Cumalla into power ASAP and part of me think they will try to get 2 years out of Grandpa Joe so she can take over and still run for 2 terms after.

The typical leftist is a pathetically egotistical piece of shit, that never EVER admits they made a mistake. Removing Biden would be a major admission that they made a mistake.
They will Weekend-At-Bernie him for four years, keeping him medicated in the basement while a staff of DNC operatives, doctor-president Jill, Rice, and Harris run the day to day operations. Biden will be wheeled out to read platitudes from the teleprompter. Harris will start getting more and more airtime showcasing her "leadership" "abilities", and in 2.5 years the DNC will make a big show of how proud Biden is of the job heels-up is doing and he will decide to retire handing the crown to her. |

They will try to get Biden till Jan 21st, 2023 but fail to do so as he will deteriorate too quickly health wise.
Conversely having Kamala Harris be President earlier would help her chances at reelection, where as waiting until 2 years may not be enough time for her to be in the spotlight. |
