Next game?  The Bills are going to win without Mahomes in the game.

5 point game.

11 mins left the 4th.

Playing a team with a back up QB that would score ZERO points the rest of the game....

And the Browns STILL find a way to lose.  They might play another 20 years and not have a better shot of reaching the AFC Championship than that.

Without Mahomes, they're not even the fifth best team in the NFL.

They should be proud though.

At the very least they are the 4th best team in the AFC.

Personally I enjoy Romo's "kid on Christmas morning" enthusiasm.

But of course some people prefer Joe Buck's "I've been working at the DMV for 10 straight hours" enthusiasm.

With about 7:00 to go, easy to second guess those play calls for Browns on their last drive.  Short passes and runs up the middle, like they were the ones trying to run down the clock.

It's hard to break a game down to a single play, but if that was called it would certainly have made a huge impact on how the rest of that game plays out.

Sometimes you lose games. Keeping it within 5, on the road, after never leading the whole game, against the defending SB champs isn't blowing it.

They aren't.

In fact, after that Henne INT the Browns were actually favored to win the game.

According to ESPN, at no point in the game did the Browns have better than a 25% chance to win the game.

That's a loss. Not a blown win.

I never said that, and you know I never said that.

The Browns were on the road in one of the toughest home fields in the League. They got down 19-3, partially thanks to a fuckup by the refs. They managed to come back and make the game 22-17 in the fourth quarter. If that's what you want to call blowing a win, then we have wildly different definitions of the phrase.

You are trailing by 5 points.

There is 11 mins left in the 4th.

You're facing a team with a backup QB that will score ZERO points the rest of the game.

Vegas has you as the favorite to win SU.

And not only do you STILL lose the game, but you don't even come close to scoring.

THAT is blowing it.

To be honest, I've never understood why tripping is illegal in a sport that will let you launch your body like a missile into another human, clothes line them, swat their foot into their leg to make them trip themselves, etc.

So Mahomes was fully capable of returning to a one score playoff game, but Mahomes and the Chiefs both decided to ride it out with Chad Henne "just to be safe"?
