So my boss was watching the video of Trump leaving the White House for the final time that all of the news outlets are playing and noticed something odd. Why do the trees all still have leaves on them? Are the leaves still on in DC?

What a great observation, citizen. Why don't you tell us where you're located so we can send you a prize for being so perceptive.

Um, they don't. Perhaps the other don't shed, or shed in the spring. I think live oaks don't shed till spring.

Probably magnolia trees. When they zoom out, there is a lot of trees without leaves.
Edit: Southern Magnolia trees are evergreens. Edit 2: Southern Live Oaks are also evergreen and it looks more like those. |

Just looked odd seeing leaves on a tree this time of year. |

The trees on either side of the porch are magnolias, and the other one with leaves is the atlas cedar

Trump actually left off last summer. He’s been in exile since then. That video was recorded 8 months ago.

Also, Chevy made the iconic '57 Chevy right up until 1968, when they began to manufacture the '63 Vette. And did you ever notice that the bluing on a Browning is grayer? All starting to make sense now, isn't it.. |

Down south we have several trees that never lose their leaves, primarily Holly and Magnolia. I'm not sure if Washington isn't too far north to grow them, but that would be my first guess

I'm not sure we can characterize the flora and season of entire Mid Atlantic by two trees imported for landscaping ... but, hey, why not?

Trump is actually still yo president.
He's the one in Biden's earpiece |

Didn't watch the video, but being 35 minutes from the white house I can say that this winter had been very mild. Not until last night has it been cold enough for the 5 gal bucket I should have dumped months ago to develop anything more than a thin surface sheet of ice.

They stayed green year round. |

There is a very large supply of hot air every day of the year in DC.

OP must live in northern Indiana.
Evergreen magnolias are not uncommon in the southern part of the state, have several around my home. |

Magnolias are fantastic to have around when you get more than five inches of snow.
