Anyone willing/able to convert a .f3d file to .step (or one of these formats that supports mesh editing)? OnShape doesn't support .f3d, Fusion360 keeps crashing on me when I try to run it with Linux & Wine, and I don't have a Windows computer. | I have an STL file for an object that's cylindrical in shape and just under 1" x 1". Looking for someon that I can send my STL file to who can print a couple of them using PETG (or ABS) and send to me. The part is a functional part, so some strength is necessary (PTA won't work). The part is a SIG 55x button for a folding stock. |

Printed threads don't work well out of a CAD toolbox it turns out.  The tolerances, even on coarse threads, are much too tight.Printed in three pieces. The base, a threaded insert for the base, and the screw to depress the ejector. The tail of the bolt sticks out intentionally so you can press it against the table to pop the bolt out of the jig. It's a snug fit, but not overly tight, at least on my printer using PETG. @Rat_Patrol I'll post this on PrusaPrinters and share the link and you can snag them from there if that works for you. The poles aren't perfectly circles so they were really tight. So I have four really good guide rings now. It's likely not setup well enough yet for a good pistol frame but it will do for now.

If anyone is feeling bored a nice stand for a NV helmet would be awesome. I currently am using a 3d printed headphone stand, similar to this print: Headphone stand I'm a bit on the fence about the top though given its not smooth, it puts a lot of "pointy pressure" on the pads inside the helmet. Not a huge deal but I'm OCD so..... A nice stand for a helmet would be awesome. Wide base to be stable, thick supports to carry the weight and a top that simulates a mannequin head to keep the pressure well rounded and even would be super awesome! Truth be told, I think using a full mannequin head is a bit eerie having this plastic head staring at me all day so I wouldnt want the full face, just the top of the skull (The dome) on the top of the stand Current stand in use. I've reached out to several companies online who print things like magazine extensions and trigger shoes. I never get a response.I want a magazine well for my Archon Type B. I know it's hard to make, I know it's not a common gun, I know it'll be a pain in the ass. But I also know one of you geniuses can do it because you've done it before for other guns. One of you is curious enough to try and do what no one else will take on. There is absolutely zero aftermarket support for Archons. It's a great gun and I hate that there is no support for them, even from Archon themselves these days. One of the Archon groups on FB has members who are saying they sent their guns in for repair months ago and they can't even get a response from the company anymore. This pisses me off to no end when there will clearly be a need for parts going int o the future and there aren't going to be any available. So please, someone start with a magwell. I'll buy. I'll even give you extra for your design time. |

I have an idea for something...there's a stupidly expensive plastic outdoor table called the Pecos . It's like a Yeti of tables. Anyway, I like their accessories. I'm looking for someone that can make an adapter rail for their accessories. I have the beer can attachement that I can send somone for dimensions. I'm just looking for a rail attachment that I can bolt to my existing outdoor table. |

Take as clear of a picture you can, side on, of the hook, and then import that picture into either Fusion360 or OnShape. You can measure a dimension on the accessory, then scale the picture to the same dimension in the CAD. Trace the outline, extrude that trace, then add a few screw holes for mounting. I would suggest thinking about how to print, and if needed add some chamfers to make the curve printable. This seems like it should walk through how to, but I haven't watched the whole video. | anybody have a key for a Streamlight TLR 7sub? I want to put a key in so I can use it on a glock or pic rail, but the included key is smooth. Can't seem to find one that would work on thingiverse. |
