Who is with me? Starting January 1 how much do you want to lose by June 1?
DrFrige is in for 35# Check in the first of every month with progress? |
I want to, we'll see if the body is cooperative.
In that timeframe? I'll go for 25 pounds and see what happens... |
I'm in. I'm starting by cutting out all fast food and most processed foods. I want to feel healthier.
I'm in. I, too, am a disgusting fatbody.
To be within BMI "normal" limits for my height, I need to lose ~100-lbs. 5'-8.5" tall, currently at ~255lbs. I have a gut and I've noticed fat starting pack on elsewhere, too. I'd like to be under 200lbs by June 1, so roughly 10lbs/month. I think that's a reasonable goal. IF + Keto |
I need to lose about 20 pounds, myself.
I’ve done more than that before, and I know I can do it again. |
I'm in. 6' tall, 30 lbs by June 1.
1/1: 279 2/1: 275 3/1: 269 ETA: started keto on 2/15. Suggestions welcome. |
Im in. 5'9", ~220 # and almost 50 y/o.
I drink way yonder to much beer, eat like a moron and don't exercise. I'll shoot for a 30# loss so my target weight will be 190#. Thanks for this thread OP. I needed the motivation. |
I damn sure need to. 6' and 235# right now. Could stand to be around 200 to 215 max
Coming up on my one year keto anniversary. Down 38 lbs. (210lbs to 172lbs). I want under 170lb. Just a few more to go.
If my weak ass can do it, I know you guys can. |
I'm in. 35# by June 1.
I saw myself in a family picture today and was pretty well disgusting with how fat I am. I need to lose 50 or so pounds. Needless to say Gunny Hartman would call me a disgusting fat body!!! |
I’m in. 6’3 and I’m at 278 right now, I know 70+ is hard to lose. So I’ll say 35+ would be a goal I could reach by June 1st.
Honestly let’s do updates every 2 weeks to 1 month to keep motivation going. Edit: are we posting before and after pics? Faces blurred out? |
I'm in for 35 bucks. i'm 6'3, around 275. I need to gain some confidence in my skin.
woah, attach a deal? wtf is this button about? |
I'm in. This morning I weighed 196lbs, weight fluctuates a few pounds daily and I'm 5'11.

Always remember - losing weight is the easy part. It's keeping it off once you finally reach the goal that the real war begins.

Why wait until Jan 1st? Just start now. New Year’s resolutions are BS. Fitness is not achieved by starting at arbitrary benchmarks. Just start eating right and exercising now. Don’t be like the countless tards that flood the gym at the beginning of the new year then filter away by February. Start now and get it done. When Jan 1 2022 rolls around, resolutions won’t even be in your mind. Just take care of business when it needs to be.

Started fasting Christmas Eve.
18/6 I've found its the best way for me to lose weight. I also feel better. gained 40 pounds in 2020 Eta: in for 40 |
You'll be amazed at how fast you'll start losing weight if you simply stop drinking beer and sugary sodas... or at least sugary sodas. If the cravings get too strong you can easily cheat by drinking carbonated waters with your choice of freshly squeezed juice.

I need to cut 40 lbs.
If the damned gyms were open, I'd start lifting again. |
40# ... 60 years old and a few days away from changing my eating habits for the rest of my life.
12/26 - 272 pounds |
Good luck y’all! Here for/to share the positive support when needed.
For me, probably should commit to losing a boat load, but we’ll see how that works out. |

I'm in. I got a lot to gain by losing a lot.
I've been doing low carb for about 6 weeks and I'm down 15 lbs. 35 more by June should be reasonable. I need to lose more than that, but I've got some new motivation: arthritis in my foot and a knee that is going to eventually need a full replacement. Being overweight is about the worst thing for both of these and I'm determined I'm not giving up on my beloved long hikes through the mountains. I'm down to 325 now. Breaking below 295 would be a first in many, many years. I'm 6'2", target weight should be around 200, 220 if I grow some big muscles. |
At 35, I'm 6'3" and 330lbs. I would like to get below 300lbs and a 40in waistline at a minimum, but to do so in a way I keep the weight off.
I'll order a scale this weekend and start planning an exercise routine. Never really dieted or exercised much before so any advice is appreciated. |

View Quote Only drink water, instead of sugary drinks and fake bullshit. Try and walk as much as possible, use a fitness watch to track your steps and try to get at least 10,000 per day, everyday. If you do go to the gym, I would try and stick with only cardio for a few months, like the bike and row machine to start off with. Your diet is the key to losing weight. |

Quoted: Gyms are open in WV, but you have to wear a mask so I refuse to go. I've turned my living room and backyard into a gym. View Quote They opened during the summer. I lifted for a few weeks while wearing a mask. It sucked! I did not realize how much of a cardio load a set caused. I was gasping through the mask. Game have been. Loved for about a month here. |

I'm in. I'm way too large. Had a family photo done today that was very unflattering.
I honestly need to drop 100lbs. In for as much as possible. |

I'm happy at my current weight, it's basically a struggle to eat enough to maintain it.
I tend to not eat during times of catastrophic stress, YMMV. |
I have lost 75 pounds since around February. I want to lose another 25 before March, so I'm in.
Like DrFrige's friend, I was told I was prediabetic last year. My blood work was nearly perfect a couple of months ago though. My Dr was ecstatic. |
I’m in. I started on strict keto back in August. Started at 309 and down to 235 as of this morning. Would like to get to
one-derland so I’ll shoot for 36 lbs which puts me at 199. |
Count me in.
I'm not a big guy but certainly could be healthier. Let's do a June 1st weigh in. |
