If you haven't already, the entire Martyrmade series about this titled "God's Socialist" is well worth the listen.
If you pay attention to the parts where he examines the late 60's and 70's radical movements, it sounds very familiar. |

I arrived at Walter Reed in 1982, one of the NCO's on the ward I worked on was in the barracks the next night as a young E-2, NCO's came around waking everyone, packed their shit and put them on a C-5, destination unknown. She said they bagged bodies for a day or two, already stinking.

I was 17 when that happened. That story was the lead every night for a few weeks after it happened. When they started discovering bodies underneath bodies is when they really understood how bad the death toll really was.
