I have an air fryer on the way from Amazon. Just me in the household. I got some of the paper liners plus some silicone cups so I could make egg bites. What are your favorite things to make in the air fryer? I particularly enjoy pork chops and shrimp.

Thanks!

I do the chicken cordon blue or chicken kievs, so much quicker than firing up the oven.  I also do the frozen pre breaded shrimp, same thing - much better than firing up the oven.

What did you end up buying? I'm waiting for Amazon to get the Cosori III to come back into stock.

This one. There was a $20 coupon that brought the price down to $79

Chicken thighs with dry rubbed seasoning. Use with avocado oil in the air fryer. You can even use some almond flour.
Eat that with rice every workday.

Chicken tenders.  Flip them around with olive oil and taco seasoning.  Single layer in the air fryer at 400 degrees for about 9-10 minutes.  Let rest for about five minutes.

I did frozen battered cod today.
My dad and I split a 10# box a couple times a year.
He loves the air fryer we got him last month. His first. He's done fresh chicken with a rub, hamburger patties, left over mashed potato patties, wilted fresh spinach . . .

Any rubs you recommend? I’ve never used one. I don’t like hot. Anything wrong with using olive oil?

I cook those with adobo seasoning mix and they're a big hit.

How spicy are they?

Air fryer arrived last Thursday and I finally opened it tonight as I’ve been down with Covid. I just reheated pizza (frozen pizza cooked in the regular oven at lunch) and it turned out great.

Will resurrect stale McDonald's fries from the dead like its Easter Sunday.

They're mild. My wife's family are all delicate midwesterners, and they don't find it too spicy. I think chili powder is one component, but it's balanced.

I got some of this a few years ago for a specific recipe, and it became one of my favorites to use as an all-purpose seasoning mix (I cook a lot of Mexican food at home); sometimes I even put it on popcorn . Some brands are salt-heavy (as are many seasoning blends). The Badia brand is the least salty one IIRC.

Most of what I do is frozen stuff but I also do a lot of potatoes and various veggies with steak.

1 can of crescent rolls
spray the bottom of the air fryer so it doesn't stick
8 of your favorite oreo cookies
wrap 1 triangle per oreo, arrange in air fryer basket.

8min at 400
dust with powdered sugar if you want

demolish

Also
any fried food leftovers are pretty easy to reheat in the air fryer. tried it out with tempura veggies from the thai restaurant and they came out just as good if not a little better than fresh.

While not as good as straight out of the fryer, the air fryer is the ultimate tool for reheating fries.  Also bagged fries and tater tots from the store are FANTASTIC in the air fryer.  NOM! NOM! NOM!

I did bagel bites in the air fryer last night. They came out really nice. My next question is how do you determine which temp to set air fryer at? I googled and found the answer.

Honestly it seems like the max temp is the best for almost everything I do. Mine defaults to 390 for air frying and max is 400. I just leave it at 390 for most everything.

My "go to" air fryer recipe is bone in skin on chicken thighs.  Hit them with jerk rub, and 13 minutes a side on 390 air fry.

I recently bought a new air fryer with doors, the Emeril 360.  I have done a rack of ribs twice now.  They are obviously not smoky, but they come out awesome.  I coat them with rub, then put them in on 350 until my MEATER says 203 degrees.

Paper lines reduce how well the air fryer works.

That's why I prefer the basket style, easy to clean

@ALASKANFIRE

Basically it's a parchment paper cup that fits into the fryer basket to eliminate cleanup. It also eliminates airflow. So it's a retarded idea to use.
